<div>Shannon is entering the fight of her life. After surviving stage 2 breast cancer in 2019-2021. She was just recently diagnosed in July of 2024 with stage 4 metastatic cancer, which, as you can imagine, came as a huge shock and is devastating news. In some cases, the prognosis can be 2.5 - 5 years but we are not going to let cancer take her down and Shannon is a fighter! She is exploring multiple treatments: clinical trials, nutrition, supplements, cutting edge and alternative therapies, radiation, IV’s, Sauna, Red light therapy and chemo. During this time, we aim to ease her mind to focus solely on her treatments and healing.

34 days in a hospital beginning on September 20........he has now been at UT Southwestern Medical Center Dallas for 9 days.  We are thankful for the smile he shows in this picture.<br /><br />And so very blessed, thankful, grateful and overwhelmed by you generosity and help.  Our hearts are overflowing....<br /><br />**********<br /><br />Over the last few months, Scott had not been feeling well and had been shuttled to multiple specialists with no relief or diagnosis in sight.  <br /><br />Ultimately he was admitted to the Emergency Room where he spent 2 full weeks in the hospital as they tried to uncover what was going on.  Test after test after test ...and all we know is he is suffering from some mysterious autoimmune disease that is attacking his own body.<br /><br />He was transferred to a Skilled Nursing Facility - where he is learning to stand, to walk, strengthen his body, use utensils and many many more day to day activities that so many of us take for granted.  He is battling constant pain and the unknown of a specific diagnosis.  He has been in this facility for 10 days.<br /><br />We do not know what the future holds or what the new normal will look like for Scott.  This will be a long uphill battle and we are so very grateful for all of our friends and family that have been there for us.<br /><br />These funds will help with the mounting medical bills, allow more time in the skilled nursing facility, and alleviate his stress while he focuses on healing his body.<br /><br />May you forever know how grateful we are.

In Memory of Ronald J. Shurer II

I created this page in the hopes that we can all come together to help support my sister, Jenina Parks Barnes, through this difficult journey ahead. On July 26th, her husband, Chad Barnes, passed away. Jenina’s life was shattered - she lost not only her husband, but her best friend in the world. <br /><br />Sadly, there was no life insurance.  She is so appreciative of everyone who has reached out to her with so much love and support during this incredibly heartbreaking time. My hope is that through this page, we can continue to support and help her in every way we can. The sadness of losing a spouse so young is devastating. Adding to that, she is trying to navigate her way through debts . <br /><br />Anything you would like to donate will help get her back on her feet to try to move forward and begin to start a new life. <strong>Patrick John Meyers</strong> was born on July 23, 2015, seventy-two (72) days before his scheduled due date.  Tiny but determined, Patrick weighed less than 2 lbs. at birth.  Within 24 hours, Patrick was airlifted to a hospital with the appropriate level of NICU care.  That week, he had his first surgery.  Since then, Patrick has endured feeding and breathing tubes, numerous blood transfusions, and aggressive lung disease, and he has recently had another surgery to repair a hole in his heart.<br /><br />The March of Dimes estimates the average length of NICU stay for a “preemie” delivered before 32 weeks at 46.2 days, with an average associated hospital charge of $280,811.  While this figure does not account for insurance coverage, it speaks to the tremendous cost of care for a pre-term baby.  As of October 1, 2015, Patrick had spent 70 days in the NICU.<br /><br />Throughout this impossibly difficult time, Patrick’s parents, Scott and Alissa, have remained positive, prayerful, and strong.  They are incredible parents to their 5-year-old daughter Avery, and to Patrick – spending hours every day in the NICU while Avery is in school, participating in Patrick’s medical treatment, doing “kangaroo care,” and advocating on his behalf.  Because of Patrick’s dedicated team of medical providers, steadfast parents, and countless prayers, Patrick continues to improve and grow.<br /><br />We started <strong>Patrick's Posse</strong> to help defray the costs associated with Patrick’s medical care.  We pray for the day Patrick is healthy enough to come home.  Whenever it happens, we want Scott and Alissa to be able to focus on caring for Patrick and big sister Avery, not on the mounting medical bills.  Please join us in supporting our little fighter, Patrick, and the whole Meyers family, by submitting a contribution today.

On behalf of Alyssa Ferguson and her family, the Watson, Rutherford and Stacy Families are creating this page to show support for the Ferguson family during Alyssa’s clinical cancer trial in Florida.  Many of you may or may not know the awesome Ferguson family, but we would like to share a bit about them. Their daughter, Alyssa, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in January of 2014 - a day after her 12th birthday. The tumor was successfully removed and then followed up with a year of radiation and chemotherapy, which ended in March of 2015.   However, the tumor returned in May of 2015 and again was removed. At this time, Alyssa is again undergoing chemo and is in Florida to be part of a groundbreaking clinical trial.<br /><br /> <br /><br />Obviously, all of this will not be free - even the little things, like travel, food and parking, add up! While the Ferguson family has not asked for money, our families want to provide this opportunity to show financial support during this difficult time away from home.  They have done so much for others and our families simply want to pass this gift along to their family; we know they would and continue to do the same for anyone they meet! In fact, instead of asking for something for herself for her "Make a Wish," Alyssa selflessly asked that a well be dug for a village in Africa to provide clean drinking water.
