Hello everyone, My name is Chi, and I'm creating this fundraiser to help make a dream possible: visiting Japan and exploring whether it could become a future home for me. Over the past few years, life has taken me through a lot of unexpected challenges. Between health issues, personal setbacks, and rebuilding after difficult circumstances, I've spent a great deal of time reflecting on what I want for my future. Through all of that, one goal has remained in my heart: to experience Japan firsthand and explore the possibility of building a life there. This trip is not simply about taking a vacation. My hope is to spend time exploring daily life, learning more about the culture, visiting potential areas to live, researching job opportunities, and seeing whether creating a future in Japan is a realistic possibility. Part of this journey is also about personal and spiritual growth. I believe that stepping outside of my comfort zone, experiencing a different culture, and meeting people from different backgrounds can help me gain new perspectives and better understand the life I want to create moving forward. Photography has become an important creative outlet for me. During this trip, I hope to document the landscapes, city life, architecture, and everyday moments I encounter. My goal is to share photographs and updates with everyone who supports this journey so they can experience the adventure alongside me. As a woman and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, part of this journey is also about exploring places where I feel safe, welcome, and able to live authentically. While this isn't the only reason for my interest in Japan, it is one of many factors I'm considering as I think about where I want to build my future. During this trip, I hope to: ✈️ Explore potential cities to live in Learn more about housing and daily life Research employment opportunities Visit language schools and educational programs Grow as a photographer and document the experience Learn from new cultures, perspectives, and experiences ✨ Continue my personal and spiritual growth The funds raised will help cover: - Round-trip airfare - Lodging - Local transportation - Food and daily expenses - Travel insurance and related travel costs Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean so much to me.
