Alice was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in May 2023 when she was just three years old. An only child, Alice and her mum Lisa live with grandmother Sandra Hughes. They are extremely close as a family, so Alice’s cancer diagnosis has affected them all. Prior to diagnosis, Alice was really poorly for around three weeks with frequent visits to the family’s GP to try and find out why she was so unwell. Alice’s grandmother Sandra recalls: “We went to see our GP seven times and at one point we were told she had hay fever. Then, after a visit to Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, she was rushed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where, after a bone marrow test, we were told Nancy had ALL. The cost of the operation exceeds €45,000, and we had no choice but to raise funds to help resolve this situation. Any donation, no matter how small, is appreciated. Alice fue diagnosticada con leucemia linfoblástica aguda (LLA) en mayo de 2023, cuando tenía solo tres años. Hija única, Alice y su madre Lisa viven con la abuela Sandra Hughes. Son extremadamente cercanos como familia, por lo que el diagnóstico de cáncer de Alice los ha afectado a todos. Antes del diagnóstico, Alice estuvo muy mal durante unas tres semanas con visitas frecuentes al médico de cabecera de la familia para tratar de averiguar por qué estaba tan enferma. La abuela de Alice, Sandra, recuerda: "Fuimos a ver a nuestro médico de cabecera siete veces y en un momento dado nos dijeron que tenía fiebre del heno. Luego, después de una visita al Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, fue llevada de urgencia al Birmingham Children's Hospital donde, después de una prueba de médula ósea, nos dijeron que Nancy tenía TODO. El coste de la operacion supera los 45000 € y no nos ha quedado otra opcion que recaudar fondos para poder solucionar esto, por poco que sea cualquier donacion se agradece, tambien rezando por ella y compartiendo.
