Our family has been through SO much this past year we've tried to keep positive but unfortunately that doesn't pay the bills or help with my husbands medical issues. I don't expect anyone to donate, but for those of you that do, it means the WORLD 🌎

Last year, in May 2025, my husband had a bad fall. He hit his head on a metal bar in our home and had around 20 stitches put in. We didn't notice anything alarming after the fall until 2-3 weeks later when he had a really bad seizure (which he's never had before, and we've been together for 20 years). You can imagine how scary this was for me and my son. He was sent by EMS to Sycamore Hospital for 2 days but then released. When he got home, he couldn't walk, talk, had no motor skills, couldn't eat, swallow, or pucker his lips to try to drink out of a straw. I could tell he knew what he wanted to say or do but wasn't able to. That same day he was released, I called 911 again. This time, he was admitted to Kettering Main Campus for about a week. They ran every test under the sun, but nothing came back abnormal. Once he was released, we tried our best to get back to our "normal" lives, but by that time, we had no car. I work 35 minutes from home, and I'm the only one able to work, so when I'm out of work, we suffer. We live paycheck to paycheck, and I don't make enough monthly to pay half my bills, not even including food, gas, and any and all necessities. But when I try to apply for government assistance of ANY sort, they say I make too much money. Like what?? But okay. So over the past year, he's not been able to work or hold a job because they don't care about his health issues. They don't know what's going on neurologically with him; the only thing they did diagnose him with was narcolepsy. He's had 2 seizures, one that sent him to the ER last year and one when he got admitted to Kettering last year. Since then, he's had what I call episodes where stress brings it on, and he overthinks WAY too much to the point he loses control to stand. His muscles give out, get wobbly, and he looks like he's falling asleep but doesn't actually go into a seizure. So now, a couple of weeks ago, we were going through a lot of financial stress and just stress in general, plus his "little episodes," and he had another really bad seizure, one during which he broke his right shoulder. So I'm taking complete and full care of him—dressing, showering, giving meds, anything and everything you can imagine—while working 5 days a week, 10-12 hour days, and now I don't have a car. We're about to be evicted from our apartment. I have a car that's been badly wrecked, but I can buy it for $1000 and get it fixed for around $6000, and I'll own it. No payments!! But there's no way I can come up with that kind of money. Also, we need to move into a place that's not so expensive. We can't be homeless; my 18-year-old son has a baby on the way in the next 5-6 months. Any and ALL help would be a blessing. My family has really been having a tough year, and I have no family to help, so this was my last and only resort! I'm trying to stay strong for my family, but I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, especially social anxiety. So I've had extra hurdles to jump through while trying to be strong for everyone else.
