I recently began my journey toward earning a bachelor’s degree in Science & Criminal Justice. As a 35-year-old father to my 2-year-old son, my education and building a secure future for him are the most important things in my life right now. Unfortunately, I learned that I don’t qualify for grants or financial aid, which was incredibly discouraging. My grandmother, who has always been my biggest supporter, encouraged me not to give up. She suggested I start this GoFundMe to see if God will make a way for me, and if not, then perhaps it’s just not meant to be. Her faith and encouragement have given me hope to keep moving forward, even when things feel overwhelming. My passion for criminal justice is unmatched, and I can’t see myself in any other profession. I am determined to complete my degree and create a better life for my son. Every dollar raised will go directly toward my education expenses, helping me cover tuition, books, and other costs associated with earning my degree.
