For the past year, I’ve been paying my share of rent faithfully, believing my roommates were doing the same. Unfortunately, I recently discovered that instead of paying our landlord, they were taking both their share and mine and spending it on vacations. When the truth came out, I was evicted from my home, left with nowhere to go and no warning. This experience has been incredibly upsetting and has taught me that even when you do the right thing, people can still take advantage and leave you with nothing. Now, I’m facing the challenge of finding a place to stay for myself and my fiance. We’re trying to keep a positive mindset, but it’s hard when you’re suddenly on your own and struggling to make ends meet. The funds raised here will help us secure temporary housing, like a hotel, so I can continue going to work and have somewhere safe to return to each day. It will also help with food and gas, giving us the stability we need to start saving for a new home. I don’t usually ask for help, but right now I’m in a deep hole and could really use some support. If anyone is able to donate, I would be truly grateful, and I won’t mind paying back what was given to me to help us out in this time of need.
