My situation has been transpiring since the beginning of COVID. I am alone as far as family is concerned. I have been taken in by someone over the summer that I'm super grateful for. As it currently stands I am still in hardship. Food stamps have been reduced to almost nothing and finding a job has been fruitless. Regardless of these things I am striving to better myself. I have plans of enrolling for spring courses at North Ga Tech College in January of 2027 to better myself and create a better potential for employment.
I am asking for help for basic needs.
Anything helps.
The course I'm taking does not issue a stipend.
It has been a long, difficult and lonely journey. I am sober. All I want is to be able to be in my sons life again who resides in another state. The goal is to restore stability and ask for visitation.
A little history...
2019-2023 Homeless and trapped in Severe Domestic Violence in COVID
Lost business and cars
Mother Died 2021 from COVID
Father remarried and left the country
2 Surgeries, 2022 while homeless
Could not find housing and lost everything due to homelessness and living in hotels with my son.
Lost my son due to homelessness 2022
Camper burned down 2022
Incarcerated 2023-2025
In a tent for 2025
I have slept under buildings, in the woods without and with a tent, beside buildings, in parking lots, roadside, sidewalks, benches and behind dumpsters.
A lot of people were trapped in domestic violence during COVID. I am one of them. Now that I'm away from my abuser I have started to rebuild.
I was forced into homelessness this go around since 2020 until just this summer of 2026 someone has given me a place to reside.
This has had devastating effects on me and my sons life. We both have been traumatized and he has been placed with extended family to be safe. I hope to better myself and regain footing to be in his life again asap. Every effort I make is to be reunited with my son.
I know a lot of people are in hardship as well. I pray they all have family that helps them.
Immediate relief will be used for food and basic needs.
Thank you and God bless you.
Thank you to everyone who has helped so far. I cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation.
