My name is Maiko, and I’m reaching out for help for my family—my husband Jason, our two boys Braycnn (13) and Jase (9), and myself. We’ve always worked hard to make ends meet. I clean houses for a living, and Jason works full-time, but lately, it feels like no matter how hard we try, we just can’t catch up. We don’t have family to lean on, and we live paycheck to paycheck, doing our best to provide a safe and stable home for our boys.
Recently, our main water line broke, flooding our yard and causing our water bill to skyrocket. The repair costs are overwhelming, and unfortunately, our landlord believes we are responsible for the damage, so we’ve had to handle everything on our own—even though it’s impossible for us to have caused the problem, since the main water line is underground. On top of that, we’re behind on our car payments, and if we can’t come up with the funds soon, we risk losing our only vehicle. This is especially hard on our family because Braycnn, our oldest, has seizures and needs reliable access to care and stability at home.
We’ve moved with our kids more than 10 times in 13 years, and this is the first place where they truly feel at home. They love their school, and we’ve been here for almost four years. We just want to give them stability and not put them through any more stress or upheaval.
We’re doing everything we can, but the bills keep piling up, and we’re running out of options. Any support will go directly toward fixing our water line, catching up on our car payments, and covering the increased utility bills. Your help would mean the world to us and give our family a chance to get back on our feet. Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer.
