A mechanic later confirmed my worst fear: the car was barely drivable and shouldn’t have passed inspection. And the “clean title”? It had been in a serious accident. It was declared as a total loss/salvage title…

For people to know that scamming someone isn’t just a quick buck—it can derail an entire life.
