While leaders argue and shutdowns drag on, we’re not waiting. Jamaica needs us now. We’re filling barrels with food, clothes, and care — proof that one love still moves faster than any government. When the system slows, the people rise. Because every little thing gonna be all right. ❤️ Barrels for Jamaica – “Wi likkle but wi tallawah” Rising together after the storm “One love, one heart, let’s get together and feel all right.” — Bob MarleY About the Campaign “Wi likkle but wi tallawah.” We may be small, but we are mighty — and when Jamaica hurts, we rise as one people. In October 2025, Hurricane Melissa — one of the strongest storms in Jamaica’s history — tore across the island. It ripped off roofs, flooded homes, and shattered communities. But even in disaster, Jamaicans stand tall, proud, and unbroken. “You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” — Bob Marley Now is our time to act — not wait. We cannot sit back and hope for slow government responses or endless red tape. While officials meet and budgets stall, real families are sleeping under tarps, children are missing school, and elders are without power or food. And yes — times are hard here too. With the U.S. government shutdown and rising costs of living, we all feel the strain. But as Americans and friends of Jamaica, we know that love and solidarity stretch further than any border or bureaucracy. That’s why Barrels for Jamaica was born — a people-powered mission to help directly, without waiting for anyone’s permission. Our Mission “Live for yourself and you will live in vain; live for others and you will live again.” — Bob Marley Barrels for Jamaica is a grassroots effort to bring hope home — one barrel at a time. Your donations will help us: • Collect and pack essential supplies donated by families and churches in the U.S. • Ship barrels filled with food, water, clothing, and school supplies to Jamaica’s hardest-hit parishes • Partner with trusted local volunteers and faith groups for direct distribution • Support rebuilding efforts for homes, classrooms, and community centers “The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.” — Bob Marley We’re not waiting for systems to catch up — we’re moving forward, people helping people. Why It Matters Every barrel tells a story of love. Every donation says, “You are not forgotten.” “In this bright future, you can’t forget your past.” — Bob Marley We remember where we come from — a people of strength, laughter, and faith. By giving today, you’re helping restore not just homes, but hope. “Don’t worry about a thing, ’Cause every little thing gonna be all right.” — Bob Marley Together, we can make those words come alive again — not as a song, but as a promise. “One love, one heart, one destiny.” — Bob Marley Let’s fill these barrels with love, dignity, and strength. Because when governments move slow, the people move faster. How Funds Will Be Used • Purchase of food staples, toiletries, and school supplies • Barrel packaging and shipping from the U.S. to Jamaica • Customs and port clearance fees • Local transportation for delivery to affected parishes • Coordination with Jamaican volunteers for fair distribution Every dollar helps another home stand tallawah again. About the Organizer Cornelius Caprar and friends from Gwinnett County, GA, are organizing this campaign in partnership with Jamaican community members both in the U.S. and on the island. We believe that help shouldn’t wait for politics — it should flow straight from the heart.
