Howard Bode

My beautiful 12-year-old son, Landon Bode, has severe autism. He is nonverbal and struggles with self-inflicted injuries. As parents, we have tried so much to help him, but there is still so much more we can do. Recently, we discovered through a hair test that Landon has high levels of aluminum in his system. We are hoping to begin chelation therapy to help remove these toxins and give him a better chance at improved health and comfort. After chelation therapy, we are looking into stem cell therapy, which has shown promise for children with autism. These treatments are not covered by insurance and have been financially overwhelming for our family. In addition to medical therapies, we want to give Landon opportunities to experience more of the world—taking him on trips and helping him engage with new environments to support his mental health and ease his depression.
