The Cycling Initiative, formerly Wheels for Change, is a youth-led community initiative founded by twin brothers Carter and Jaden Miedema in Delta, BC.
We started with a simple idea: use our passion for cycling to make a difference. What began as a small group of students riding together has grown into an initiative focused on bringing people together through cycling while supporting causes that matter to our community.
Our current mission is to raise funds in support of BC Children’s Hospital, helping contribute to the care and resources provided to children and families across British Columbia. Through community rides, fundraising, and the support of our riders and donors, we hope to turn every kilometre we ride into something meaningful.
As we continue to grow The Cycling Initiative, our goal goes beyond a single fundraiser. We want to build a community where young people and local riders can come together, stay active, connect with others, and use cycling as a way to give back.
Every ride, share, and donation helps us move that mission forward. Thank you for supporting The Cycling Initiative and helping us ride for a greater cause.
All donations made through this fundraiser will go directly to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation through GoFundMe.
