I’m starting this fundraiser because my pet urgently needs surgery to correct a prolapse, and I can’t afford the veterinary costs on my own. This has been heartbreaking and overwhelming. I love my pet deeply, and it’s incredibly hard to be in a position where they need urgent care and I don’t have enough money to move forward as quickly as they need. I never imagined I would have to ask for help like this, but right now I’m doing everything I can to get my pet the treatment they need before things get worse.

 My name is Christie and I have gotten my friends blessing to create this GFM on his behalf. Joe is one of the kindest people I know. He is the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. Unfortunately, he has been dealing with health issues for years that have become increasingly overwhelming. There is truly nothing that can prepare you for a chronic illness.

 Living on disability has made it incredibly difficult for him to keep up with his bills and rent. Every month he stretches every dollar just to cover the basics, and lately it’s become nearly impossible to make ends meet. The constant stress of wondering whether he’ll be able to pay rent or keep the lights on has not done any good for his illness and the symptoms that come along with it.

 Joe’s lease ends on August 31, and we need to help him find a healthier, more affordable place to live. Myself and the rest of our tribe are doing everything we can to ease the financial burden his illness has created. Any funds raised will go directly toward his essential bills and rent so he can get through this difficult period and secure a more stable home.

<div>As you know Erika Bledsoe and family are experiencing difficult times right now. As you know Erika was diagnosed with that ugly “C” word a while back. Erika has been fighting the good fight. Lastnight lead to another bump in the road. Erika experienced a seizure and scans show her cancer has produced several lesions on the brain and 2 tumors a 1cm and a 2cm tumor. Erika, David and family will be developing a game plan with numerous doctors in the next coming days.   I am asking for us to rally together and support them. As you know David is a fireman at multiple departments and this is going to set him back to not working as much and also not being able to work his part-time landscaping job. Erika has been very strong and been working as well and we just don’t know how much Erika will be able to do. Anything contribution will help.

<div>This is my long-time friend, coworker, and hockey brother. We worked together for at least 15 years. Great guy! Will give you the shirt off his back. He was in my first wedding &amp; I went to his wedding. We've just been the greatest friends for a long time. Joe and I lost touch for some years. I tried to get in touch with Joe for some years and just didn’t have any luck. One day, I ran into a coworker of Joe's. I asked him where Joe was now. He told me that Joe moved back to Long Island, New York. I got Joe’s number from his coworker. I called Joe to catch up. Joe sadly told me that he was not doing all that great mentally and physically. As we continued to talk, Joe said that he had some stressful events happen to him all at once. He had lost his brother due to Crohn’s disease. Soon after, he lost his mother to cancer. Joe and his mother were very close, as he and his brother were too. Then Joe went through a divorce with his wife, whom he thought was his soulmate. Alot happened in a short time for him. Then Joe battled a severe case of food poisoning that would change his gut forever. Joe moved to Florida for a short time to find out that the healthcare there was not helping him. Joe moved to Long Island, New York, to hopefully get answers from doctors there and be around family. After going through a lot of procedures, blood work, testing, and seeing many specialists, Joe found no answers after 4 years, with the last two years being the worst. After reevaluating his healthcare needs, Joe has come back to North Carolina and is staying in a camper on the farm here with my wife and myself. We are trying to do everything we can to make it easy on Joe so he can find treatment and sanity. You can only imagine it’s been hard on him being unable to find the source that causes him to live in pain every day. Joe has always been a healthy guy, 5’10” 165 lbs, a fit person that played high-level hockey most of his life. Now Joe weighs 119 lbs, has trouble walking, and no energy to do much at all. <strong>If you can help! No amount is too small. If you can’t help financially, please share with your Facebook friends and followers. Also, more than anything, Pray, Pray, Pray.</strong> Joe is a very faithful person and will appreciate any help that he gets. <strong>The funds that Joe receives will help him with gas, medical bills, and hotels after his appointments. Joe can’t drive too far.</strong> We are in Middlesex, and his appointments are in Raleigh, it’s been costing him a lot of money having to stay at hotels a few nights a week. Joe is on disability, but it’s not enough with all the doctor's appointments and driving into Raleigh every other day. I would love to see my friend healthy and back on the ice one day soon!

<p>Sean Q Treadway recently passed on 12/14/2020. Sean was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, uncle and faithful friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his his loving family and his lifelong friends.  <br /><br />Sean was one of a kind. He was quick with his wit and his humor. He always had a smile on his face and a extremely kind and generous heart. He would give you the shirt off his back if needed. <br /><br />We are all devastated by our loss and were not prepared for the high cost of laying him to rest. Help lay Sean Q Treadway to rest 

My name is Neal and my wife Erin was diagnosed with stage four serous ovarian cancer just after her fiftieth birthday in March of 2019.  She received nine weeks of chemotherapy,  surgery, and nine more weeks of chemo following the operation. Several complications have arisen during her treatment, including: low blood counts postponing her chemotherapy, skin reactions caused by her immunotherapy treatment, large amounts of medications prescribed to treat adverse reactions, and issues after her surgery involving leg swelling that requires physical therapy twice a week, not being able to keep food down, and constant extreme pain. Now that she has completed chemotherapy, she is receiving immunotherapy for eighteen months to help restore her immune system.  Erin worked full time before her diagnosis and continued working until she couldn't before going on longterm disability, I work full time and have a part time job as well, however medical bills are quickly adding up, which has put a lot of pressure on our family. We typically never ask for help because we've always preferred to take care of it ourselves, but we are struggling and as the Bible says, "you have not because you ask not".  Any donations are greatly appreciated and will be put towards medical bills.
