<div>Little Tayana was born with a rare and severe congenital condition called bilateral microtia and aural atresia. This means she was born without ear canals, and she cannot hear the world around her.

<div>She cannot hear her parents’ voices, music, laughter, or the simple sounds that most children grow up with.

<div> Hearing is extremely important for a child’s development. Without hearing, children can experience serious delays in speech, learning, and emotional development. Doctors explain that if hearing is not restored during the critical early years, the effects may last a lifetime.

<div>There is a specialized clinic in the United States that can restore both hearing and the external ear structure for children like Tayana starting from around the age of three.

<div>My name is Alina Nikitina, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my family in Lviv, Ukraine.

<div>Today, their apartment was severely damaged after being hit by two Shahed drones. This sudden attack has left them without a safe place to live and in urgent need of support.
</div>

<div>One of my close relatives, Yuri Pirig,  was seriously injured during the explosion. A large piece of debris became lodged in his lung, and he had to undergo emergency surgery. He is now in the intensive care unit (ICU), and his condition remains serious.

<div>Thankfully, my aunt, Tetiana Pirig, her daughters Nata and Oksana (who are like sisters to me), and grandmother Nadia were incredibly lucky to survive without physical injuries. However, they have lost many essential belongings, and their home has been heavily damaged.
