Nichole Millwood

Hey y’all! My name is Nichole. I’m a mother of 3 beautiful kids. I’m married to a wonderful man who is the father of our 3 beautiful kids. I'm trying to raise funds because I want to go see my mother in Key West where she has lived for 9 years, and I haven’t got to see her but 1 time since then. She had an accident while she was down there working that resulted in her having seizures and memory loss at times. She was on her way home from work on her scooter when she was hit over the head with something (we think) because she was found in the bushes unconscious, not breathing, by an officer. She was flown from the Keys to Miami hospital where they found she had 2 brain bleeds and some broken ribs, and she was severely bruised on her face, her eyes, and her back and butt. She has her good days and she has her bad days! A lot of you that know me know my mama (Shannon). She’s a wonderful person. I want to raise enough so I can rent a car and take her grandkids down to see her for 2 weeks to a month. Another reason is my husband was hurt earlier this year in a fall. It had iced over from a storm and it was super cold. We were leaving to go to the doctor and he was carrying our daughter, and he slipped and fell. When he did, he twisted his body so she wouldn’t hit the porch. He was in pain when it happened, but he just dealt with it. Later that week, he was sitting in the living room playing a game with our son, and he started going numb down his left side of his neck, down his left arm, and into his stomach. Then it spread to his back and down his legs. He currently still can’t feel anything. It’s weird because he can walk and do everything, but it’s numb to the touch. We’ve been to the doctor and had an MRI on his brain and to the spine institute to see what it did to his back. He has thoracic scoliosis, and that makes it worse. He has 2 bulging knots on both sides of his spine at the base of his spine that we still have to get checked out. It’s been hard with him not working. He does what he can, but he can’t lift anything heavy or stand for long periods of time because it makes him hurt even worse. On top of that, he has severe anxiety, and all that put together is just disastrous. I do what I can to help with bills, but it’s just not enough. I’m trying to raise money so we can also get some relief with some of our bills and so we can get him back and forth to the doctor to figure out what we need to do next. He has a lot of health problems for his age, but I guess it doesn’t have any prejudice against age when it comes to health problems. He has Medicaid insurance, but that’s just not enough. I’m trying to get him signed up on disability, but it’s going to take some time. Any support, big or small, is greatly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts!
