UPDATE - I do have a job, but i currently dont make enough to try to stay afloat every week. I've tried local charities, but i "make too much" to be considered for help. and since I live in a hotel, im unable to receive help for rent. im barely able to keep up with my car payment, car insurance, rent and phone bill, as rent takes up about 90% of my check every time I get paid. any amount of help will be greatly appreciated as I try to just get ahead on the rent by a 2 week payment which is $700 every 2 weeks. My name is Denise, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times of my life. Recently, my wife left me after having an affair, and on that very same day, I lost my job. The shock and pain of these events happening all at once has left me struggling to find my footing. Right now, I’m living in a hotel, trying to make ends meet while I search for a new job and a more stable place to live. Every day is a challenge as I try to cover the basics—keeping a roof over my head, putting gas in my car, and making sure I have enough to eat. Even doing laundry has become a worry, as every dollar counts. I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I’m doing my best to stay hopeful and keep moving forward. The funds raised here will go directly toward my hotel costs, food, gas, and laundry—essentials that will help me get through this difficult period.
