<div>“I am Nidaa from Gaza. My father is disabled and my mother is an elderly woman who suffers from illness because of the war. I have four sisters and a sick brother. My sisters are going to university, but the occupation destroyed my dream of becoming a nurse. I was studying and my dream was to become a surgeon, but the war stole my dreams and stole one of my sisters, my little sister, a martyr of the hideous war. I hope that someone will help me so that I can help them survive death and provide them with better shelter, treatment, food and cooking. My brothers and I can complete our education and rebuild our home and our dreams again. Participate and donate a little to advance a family and save a human life from death, destruction and hunger. Do not stand in the way of the death of the people of Gaza. The war killed us while we were alive.

A Lifeline for Mohammed: Fleeing Conflict, Pursuing Dreams

<div>A year ago, I was living with my beloved family in our beautiful house, attending dental school where I found my passion and had lots of dreams of becoming a successful dentist.

<div>Everything in my life was perfect until October 7th. It was like a nightmare. My family and I experienced the most terrifying moments imaginable. We lost our home, jobs, friends, and I almost lost my opportunity to become a dentist.

<div>On December 5th, a terrible day etched in my memory with all its details, we were bombed while trying to move toward safe places. My mother, two of my brothers, and I were badly injured.

My children got many diseases, including malnutrition and jaundice, due to the poor quality of water, lack of essential supplies, and poor hygiene.

<div>The news channels and social media do not fully show the sad reality in Gaza; medical care is almost non-existentand, the spread of unusual diseases and epidemics, the phenomenon of queuing to secure the essentials of food and drink, living inside tents in the very cold season, drinking water pollution that has caused us digestive problems, difficulty obtaining medication for the most simple illness case we face, and hearing the sound of bombs continuously without stopping for several days.

<div>The news doesn’t convey the feelings of the moments of displacement and evacuation that we felt as we left our home and city , while we knew in our hearts that we wouldn’t return anytime soon.

<div>They don’t convey how dangerous it is, with the shelling surrounding us from all sides, and at any moment we can meet death. They also don’t convey how we wake up, for over 115 days now, to the teriible sounds of war, and the first thing that comes to mind is whether you’ll will survive today or not, and pray that no harm befalls you and your beloved from all the bombing. You cannot possibly comprehend the negative effects the war had on us, or comprehend the enormity of the panic attacks we suffered- and still do.

<div>We are currently seeking help to evacuate from Gaza to Egypt looking for a safe and healthy place. But Unfortunately, the costs are exorbitant and change dramatically and unexpectedly by the day, as Israel's grip on the south of Gaza intensifies in the coming days and weeks, the costs will continue to rise as the demand increases and the number of agents operating the evacuation routes drops.

<div>As of late December the evacuation fee ranges between $8,000 and $10,000 per person, before processing and transport fees, and we will pay the higher end of the range since my husband and the kids don't have passports. Me and my family asking for 60,000$ based on the following breakdown: an evacuation fee at the Egyptian border of $8,000 - $10,000 per person as each day there is a different price for evacuation fee at the Egyptian border, plus a processing fee of $2,000 per person, $2,000 for transportation, and a 2.9% commission fee.

<div>My name is Shaymaa. I am currently in Gaza with my mother, sister, and young niece. My father and brothers have been estranged from my family for the past two years in Europe while they obtain residency papers and family reunification permits. My father has always sought to give us a happy life and a beautiful future. Then the war came in Gaza and they destroyed my house, but my family and I miraculously survived. I now live in my partially destroyed house with many of my other extended family members (whose homes were completely destroyed) because it is still better and safer than a tent on the streets.

The siege and bombardment destroyed his school, and there is nothing to teach him at home. Younes is starving; he can only find a small piece of bread made from leftover dried pasta that his mother dries to prevent them from starving. Every night, he falls asleep dreaming of a warm cup of milk, but he doesn’t know when that day will come.

We are now in all areas of Gaza under heavy siege. There is no entry of aid, and the lack of aid means a slow death sentence for the entire population. The worst kind of death is to die of starvation. We are going through a severe famine. Our families have been displaced, several times, and are currently unable to provide food, water, clothing and basic necessities. Aside from the fact that there is currently no income due to the ongoing war, food is also at an unimaginable cost. Everything that is sold is 5-20 times the normal price. Sometimes much more. As you can imagine, it is very difficult for someone who is unable to work and earn money, and my husband was injured in the war and cannot work. Your support means a lot to us.
