Hi friends and family,
This is very difficult for me to share. I’ve never been someone who likes asking for help. But right now my family and I are in a place where we truly need it.
Back in September, I was bitten by an opossum. What we thought would be a one-time incident quickly turned into a long and painful medical journey. Since then, I’ve undergone five surgeries on my hand, with another surgery scheduled in just a few weeks.
Because of the severity of the injury, I’m currently unable to work. My doctors have placed strict limitations on my hand—I can barely lift more than a coffee cup. Until the wound fully heals and I’m medically cleared, working simply isn’t possible.
On top of everything, I’m also a Type 1 diabetic, which makes healing slower and more complicated. After my next surgery, I’ll still be facing months of rehabilitation and therapy to regain strength and function in my hand.
Because of all this, our household has been forced to rely on one income, and the financial pressure has become overwhelming. Basic bills, groceries, utilities, and medical expenses are piling up while I’m unable to provide the way I normally would.
This fundraiser will help cover:
• Household bills during this period of recovery
• Medical costs, medications, and wound care supplies
• Rehabilitation and therapy after surgery
I’m not sharing this out of pity—just honesty about where we are right now. If you feel led to help, whether through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this with others, it would mean more to us than we can put into words.
Every little bit truly helps.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with us during this difficult season.
We are trusting God through this journey and believing that better days are ahead.
