Hi, my name is George Murrille, and I’m reaching out because my family is going through a really difficult time right now. My mom, Yvonne Claitt—who most people know as “Grahmy”—is 74 and turning 75 this year. Lately, she’s been having trouble remembering things day to day, which has made it hard for her to keep up with bills and payment arrangements. She was on a payment plan for the electric bill, but after missing the payment, the full balance was added back all at once. The total (over $4,000) has become more than I can handle on my own, and the electricity and water have now been shut off. With the weather constantly changing—one minute it’s hot, the next it’s cold—it’s been really uncomfortable trying to manage without power. I work and am doing everything I can, but I’m not able to cover this amount by myself. We’ve reached out for help, but so far haven’t been able to find any resources that can assist us. I know everyone is going through something right now, which is why I hesitated to ask for help. But I’m choosing to have faith and take this as a step in the right direction. I’m not used to asking for help like this, and it’s honestly uncomfortable, but I don’t know where else to turn. If you’re able to help, it would truly mean so much. If not, I completely understand—sharing this is also a huge form of support. If you’re able to help, donating through this GoFundMe is the best way to support us. If you prefer another method, you can also send directly through Cash App ($geolykduh), but either way, we truly appreciate any support. Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
