Tony has officially been diagnosed with Clear Cell Carcinoma—a very aggressive cancer that has continued to spread rapidly despite ongoing hospitalizations, treatments, and complications. Over the last several weeks, Tony has endured repeated admissions to Vanderbilt, severe pain, radiation treatments, and as of today, another ICU stay due to severe sepsis with septic shock. As if the emotional and physical toll wasn’t enough, Megan and Tony have also faced constant obstacles with insurance approvals, denied treatments, disability issues, missed work, travel expenses, medications, and mounting medical bills. While fighting for Tony’s life, they are also being forced to fight systems that should be helping them but aren’t. Megan has shared openly how exhausting and heartbreaking this journey has become—trying to stay hopeful while watching someone you love suffer and navigating setback after setback. Through it all, she has remained by Tony’s side every single step of the way, often carrying the weight of appointments, decisions, paperwork, hospital stays, and uncertainty largely on her own. The emotional exhaustion alone is unimaginable, and now the stress of everyday responsibilities like groceries, mortgage payments, car payments, utility bills, missed work, and simply trying to hold everything together has added even more pressure during an already difficult time. If you know Megan, you know she’s the kind of person who will always find a way to help, no matter what. She’s everyone’s biggest cheerleader and never hesitates to show up when someone is in need.
