<div>Greetings everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are just a few short weeks away from our 4th Annual Queensbridge Community FREE Vegan Festival! Last year's festival took place on Saturday, September 2nd, and was a HUGE success! People have been asking for the next one since then. Well, we are getting closer and closer. We will be outside on Saturday, August 31st, from 12-8pm. However, unlike the first 3 festivals, due to some unforeseen changes, this year we will move from the park to the block within the housing development. Yet, the same rules apply and the same vibe will be present.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One of the changes this year is that we will not have the funding we had last year. This is simply because of my delay in bringing this together. For that, I apologize. Because of this, I am asking YOU, the community, to join arms with me in ensuring that our community gets to experience this free vegan food and culture for free. Last year's festival budget was about $11,000. Although my goal was to make this one even bigger, with the lack of funding, and time constraints, I have reduced the budget to $8,000. This will cover the cost of all food and beverages, that folks will make/cook and that we will purchase from restaurants. Entertainment and everything else is included in this budget.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal this year is to feed and provide entertainment and educational resources to [phone redacted] people. I am certain that with your partnership we can and we will make this happen.

Help Bring Free Vegan Food to Queensbridge

<div>Greetings family! Thank you so much for your support! We are $7K from reaching our goal of $20 K for my dear friends Jackie Wilson and Sophia K. Franklin who lost everything last night when their home burned down. The picture posted displays the damage done to the house. They are currently living in temporary housing until the repairs can be made to their home which could be 8 months. Jackie is a retired Sergeant Major who served 24 years and three months in the US Army and an educator and proud member of Omega Psi Phi. He graduated from Johnson C. Smith College in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sophia works for the Administration of Child Services, is resilient a cancer survivor, and proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Both of them tirelessly volunteer their time to serving the community of Southeast Queens since 1976. They have done so much for so many people without asking for anything in return. NOW is time to support them. Thank you in advance for anything you can find in your heart to give. No amount is too little or too big.
