Lost everything to a fire

We, the extended family of Ben Craig Blake are helping raise money for him. Ben has been dealt a few bad cards in this lifetime that no one should ever have to face. When Ben was a young boy, his oldest brother, Ian died of leukemia.  At 12 years old, he witnessed the homicide/suicide of his parents, Tom and Cindy Blake. Now in his 30’s, Ben has recently lost his brother, Adam Christopher Blake, who died Sunday October 18, 2020 of a gunshot wound. Adam was the father to a beautiful 8 yr. old daughter and loved being a dad. Adam followed in his father’s footsteps and was a master carpenter of woodwork and cabinetry. He was a member of the Men’s Society. He had a strong heart, mind, and fierce devotion of love for his family. His smile was often infectious. Adam had struggled with substance abuse for many years. He had been living on the family property where his parents died in 1998. Ben is faced with the cost of cremating his brother and removing the lien from the family property so he can sell it and move on with his life. He wants to fulfill the wish of taking the ashes of his brother Ian, his father Tom, and his brother Adam to Crater Lake, OR for their final resting place. Aid For Apache Country who are facing some of the highest Covid-19 rates in the US.  Funds will  help provide, PPE's, personal hygiene supplies , food, clothing , school and home school supplies for these underserved Indigenous Communities. Arizona Indigenous Covid-19 AID

Jennifer has been living with us the last year. Her husband has been fighting for disability for her for years. They have no health insurance because Jennifer couldn't work and we all know how much it costs. This was unexpected and so hard. Jon's mama has offered a plot for Jennifer to be buried because that's what she wanted. Right now there are no arrangements made because you have to pay. Let's please come together and send this girl home with a proper burial. It's really sad to me because at a time like this, Jon shouldn't have to be worried. He should just be able to grieve. Thank you friends. If you knew Jennifer, you loved her. And she would give the shirt off her back. Let's do for her, friends.

<a href="http://washingtonstatepublicsafety.com">Washington State For Public Safety</a> is a grassroots volunteer organization comprised of neighbors giving their time, energy, skills and money to stop the warehousing of Level III Sexually Violent Predators in our community. 100% of funds raised will go to pay legal expenses. All other expenses are paid out-of-pocket by volunteers.  The Kitsap County Commission has adopted an interim zoning ordinance to regulate Group Residential Facility/Secure High Risk in direct response to the public outcry regarding the residence on Viking Way housing four Level III SVPs. While the ordinance is a good start, it will not close down the "Poulsbo House" as it is now being called by the DOC and DSHS. Litigation has become our only option. On March 20, 2019 Cross Sound Law (Poulsbo WA), on behalf of Washington State for Public Safety, filed a lawsuit against Tim and Lisa Calnan (owners of the SVP residence known as Poulsbo House), Westsound Support Services and Kitsap Tenant Support Services to close down Poulsbo House. Our primary concern is the safety of our community, our children. There has already been a significant negative impact with the infusion of fear and anxiety reverberating well beyond the immediate vicinity of Poulsbo House. This legal battle is necessary to close down Poulsbo House. We need financial assistance to carry this through.    We need your help!   Please join us in this fight to keep our neighborhoods safe for our children, women and families and to protect our property resale values. Background ~Currently housed in a single home in our residential neighborhood, at 17373 Viking Way in Poulsbo, WA, are four civilly committed, Level III Sexually Violent Predators. They are in close proximity to school bus stops, an in-home tutoring business and home schools for young children. There are an estimated 40 children in the homes surrounding Poulsbo House. These predators are under minimal security measures. They are supervised by staff “armed” only with cell phones. The staff have no training in physical restraint. The predators wear GPS anklets that are unreliable by the Department of Corrections own admission. These predators have confessed to assaulting over 100 children and more than 5 adults. ~These predators have been civilly committed by WA state courts and are rendered unamenable to existing mental health treatments and highly likely to engage in repeat acts of predatory sexual violence.  Make no mistake about it, these are very dangerous men.  In addition to their proximity to our most vulnerable, they are allowed access to public parks, grocery stores, pharmacies, shops, the mall and other businesses;  the places that you and your families frequent.  Your donation will help fund the legal battle. We can't do this alone. We  need your donation, be it $10, $20, $50 or $10,000. This fight is setting a precedent in Washington State - it is a fight we cannot afford to lose. Due to the expanding scope of action by WSPS , the organization has registered as 501(c)(4) and donations are not tax-deductible.  This affords WSPS greater flexibility in achieving its mission.
