Organizing for my sister and her family Stella’s Fight Against Parvo Stella is our sweet 13‑month‑old Mali‑Poo, weighing just 9lbs, and full of love, energy, and personality. A few weeks ago, her world changed in an instant. She suddenly became sick — first splitting up, then losing control of her bowels, and soon her tiny body began to shut down. We rushed her to the vet, terrified and praying she would hold on. After immediate testing, Stella was diagnosed with Parvo. Even though she was vaccinated, the virus still hit her hard — the vaccine simply gave her a fighting chance. With urgent medical care, medication, and continuous fluid therapy, she’s been battling day by day. For three days straight, sometimes twice a day, we’ve had to bring her in so her little body could keep fighting. Thanks to God, the vet team, and her vaccinations, Stella is still here with us. And thanks to pet insurance, about 80% of her treatment was covered. But we are still left with $483.24 out of pocket — a heavy hit we weren’t prepared for.
