<div>I’ve gone back and forth about making this, because asking for help isn’t exactly in my comfort zone… but life has thrown me into what feels like the world’s most chaotic season of my life, and I’ve run out of ways to juggle it all on my own.

<div>On November 1st, I lost my mom unexpectedly to lung cancer complications. It’s been less than two weeks, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around the grief, the sudden expenses, and the reality that she’s gone.

<div>Then—before I even had time to breathe—my brother was put in jail. He’s being harassed and having the legal system weaponized against him by his abusive ex-girlfriend, and now I’m suddenly trying to figure out how to pay for a defense attorney. He’s one of the only people who truly understands what losing our mom feels like, and now I don’t even have him here. It’s surreal.

<div>And because <em>apparently</em> the universe wasn’t done, I hit a deer on my way home Saturday night. (The deer is probably dead. My bank account? Also dead.) Now I get to add car repairs and an insurance deductible to the chaos list.

<div>I have very little family to lean on, and I’m not comfortable asking the few people around me for money—especially when they’ve already shown up emotionally. So this is me, swallowing my pride and opening up about the fact that I’m drowning. Between moving expenses, legal fees, and now the car situation… I need help.

Plot Twist: Life Said ‘Let’s See How Much You Can Handle’

<div>Hi, we are a small family in need.  We are a couple with one child (who lives here only part time) and 4 dogs and 3 cats.

<div>Today, the 25th of September, we had a hard rain storm. As we were sitting inside our home, we heard a surge and our power blinked. My husband checked the electrical box outside and didn’t see anything. Then it happened again, but this time a loud pop, followed by smoke. There was a smoldering fire inside of our siding where the wires go into the house. The wiring was very old and it caused this to happen, and we are now without power for the foreseeable future until we can afford to rewire everything.  My husband is waiting to start a new job, and I’m a tattoo artist who is dealing with little appointments in this slow time of year.  We have nothing… we have $300 to our name right now which goes to a bill that’s due immediately.  We don’t know what to do, or where to turn.  We are asking the community to give us a hand in coming up with the funds to get our home wired and our power turned back on.

<div>Hi, my name is Casey Cameron, and I am fundraising on behalf of my friend, Matt Brown. On the evening of February 8th Matt was leaving work at the Black Mandala Tattoo Studio and pulled out on to Route 30 where he was T-Boned by another driver. Matt’s car was totaled, and his body was pinned inside the vehicle. Thankfully, first responders were able to cut off the door of the car and rescue Matt. He was then taken by ambulance to Forbes Hospital. After being admitted he learned that he would need a pin placed into his leg and that his pelvis had been fractured in 4-5 places and he would need reconstructive surgery. To know Matt is to love him, he is kind and funny and would never ask for help.  But this life-changing accident has left Matt and his fiancé, Karrah, in a state of shock as they do not know what the future will look like. He will spend months recovering from his injuries, unable to work, and with medical bills piling up. Please consider sharing and donating to help ease the financial burden as he recovers from this terrible car accident.

<p>Richie Bryer lost his life unexpectedly on November 7, 2021 . On December 2nd my brother left home and never returned. We searched high and low for him. Missing him and loving him and praying for him to return home.  Today we received devastating news that my brother was found and that God called him home.  I am asking that any friends or family of ours or my brothers or our families please help us in the arrangements and help donate for Mavericks going home service. <p>On December 3rd, 2020 my Aunt Jen lost her battle with COVID 19.  She leaves behind her daughters Nicole, Tanya and Amy.  Also left behind are her two brothers and two sisters.  Foremost in our time of sorrow is my Uncle Lenny, her devoted and loving husband.  Lenny's loss is especially painful because he and his children felt helpless not being able to be by her side while she fought this battle.  The sense and weight stemming from the inability to be with her during this time is immeasurable.<br /><br />Aunt Jen hadn't been sick nor had any medical issues prior to being infected with the COVID virus, this disease is very real with no<br />prediction upon who it will take from us.  Not able to foresee anything this horrible happening and simply because of the fragile state of the economy and circumstances, Aunt Jen and Uncle Lenny were not in a financial situation to carry life insurance.  The costs for funeral services and the ensuing hospital bills are going to be in the thousands of dollars.<br /><br />My Uncle Lenny a Veteran of the Vietnam war, and Aunt Jen celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in May.  They shared a commitment to each other that was envious to anyone who knew them, spending everyday together since retirement until her recent illness separated them.  Together they enjoyed going to clubs to see friends but most memories will be hanging out by the pool with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.<br /><br />If you spent any time at their home, you would find someone swimming, playing billiards and love and laughter, a lot of laughter.  Whether around the pool, the pool table or the kitchen table, there was always laughter.<br /><br />If you can find it in your heart to help my Uncle Lenny, I know he would deeply appreciate anything you could during this time of loss.  I am humbly asking for him so he can continue to grieve without this additional stress.   Please even if you find yourself unable to help with a donation, simply passing on our message to others would be greatly appreciated.  I want to be able to help my family by doing this hoping we can take some of the financial burden off of an already tragic situation.  Like I mentioned this illness doesn't really have a map to who it will infect and it is relentless, please stay healthy and take care of yourself and your families.<br /><br />Thank you from Lenny, his daughters and the rest of the Carson Family<br /><br /><br /><br />
