<div>Dear Fellas, Friends and Supporters,

<div>For over a decade, Lakin's Gorges Cheese has been crafting award-winning, artisanal cheeses that capture the essence of Maine's rich dairy traditions. Founded in 2011 by cheesemaker Allison Lakin, the creamery has become renowned for its unique creations, such as the seaweed-infused Rockweed cheese, which earned Best in Class honors at the World Championship Cheese Contest in 2022.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2017, Allison and her husband, Neal Foley, expanded their vision by establishing East Forty Farm in Waldoboro, Maine. This environmentally focused farm not only serves as the home for Lakin's Gorges Cheese but also raises Jersey cows and heritage breed pigs, embodying a commitment to sustainable, farm-to-table practices.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, despite their dedication and hard work, Allison and Neal are now facing an urgent challenge. Due to unforeseen circumstances, including the pandemic and administrative setbacks, their efforts to purchase the farm they currently lease have been stalled. They have been informed that if they cannot secure the funds to buy the farm by October, it will be sold to another party.

<div>This is where we, as a community, can make a difference. By contributing to this GoFundMe campaign, you're not only helping to preserve a beloved local business but also supporting sustainable agriculture and artisanal food production in Maine. Your generosity will ensure that Lakin's Gorges Cheese and East Forty Farm continue to thrive, producing the exceptional cheeses and farm products we've all come to love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter the size, brings Allison and Neal one step closer to securing their farm and continuing their passion for crafting outstanding cheeses. Let's come together to support this vital part of our community and keep the tradition of Lakin's Gorges Cheese alive for years to come.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support and belief in the power of community.
</div>

<div>With gratitude,
