<div>Hi my name is Erron Dussard and I am the founder of The Whealth Club, a platform designed to elevate the careers of young aspiring health and wellness professionals from the black and underprivileged communities. We offer personalised mentorship and have partnerships with leading corporates to land our members with clients from day one of joining our cohort. All of this is underpinned by our community of like-minded entrepreneurs.

<div>The Whealth Club was born out of a desire to create opportunity for disadvantaged and underrepresented individuals in the health and wellness industry. Leveraging the experience of our network, we help our young members tackle many of the challenges in breaking through: getting certified, setting up their company, managing their back office, acquiring customers, marketing themselves and building a brand.

<div>I'm a strong believer in "if you can see it, then you can believe it", and that is why I started a project called Whealth Talk, sitting down and speaking to health and wellness industry leaders from the black community.

<div>I now want to showcase this project in a private screening to potential corporate partners, influencers and a group of young 18-24yr olds with aspirations of having a career within the health and wellness space.

<div>On 13th April 2023, the inaugural BUBR Africa tour begins in Ghana! We’ll be cycling  500km in African heat and we’ll be doing so for a very worthy cause named Vida Cycling Program.

<div>Vida Cycling Program is an NGO for aspiring female cyclists based in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region of Ghana. VCP was founded by Vida Juliet Vivie as a grassroots program dedicated to making cycling opportunities accessible to young women.

<div>VCP does it all from competitive cycling events to repair &amp; maintenance development programs to grass track cycling events which take place after school on weekdays and weekend evenings. VCP also provides free access to cycling equipment and needs our help to make ends meet.
</div>

<div>His name is James, and how we became friends is something I might make a film of one day. 
</div>

</div>
<div>James is an Uber driver and about a year ago, when I was feeling at my lowest, he came to pick me up to drop me at an event. I think he sensed something was wrong and refused to let us ride in silence. Before I knew it, I was using the back of his taxi as a safe therapy space and feeling better about all things.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The remarkable thing about this friendship is that every time I felt low after that first meeting, James would magically show up to pick up not only me but also my spirits. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was and still is some kind of Uber fairy Godfather, if you will. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During this time, we exchanged numbers and planned to go for walks just to talk. In all honesty, both my Grandfathers have now passed on, and making an older friend (70), specifically a black male older friend like James, has helped with this part of growing and being an adult. 
</div>

<div>I think it was mid-August when I realised I hadn't heard from James; he hadn't replied to my texts, nor had he come to pick me up in a while. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A little worry sank in, but at the same time, life was so busy. It was summer and everyone was enjoying being back outside. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Yesterday I waited for my taxi to pick me up; guess who it should be - James!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>"Uncle" - to anyone not of the black diaspora, any elders, regardless of blood relations, will become your aunt, uncle, Dad or Mum - "where have you been?" I asked.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With heavy eyes he explained the reason I have set up this GoFundMe. 
</div>

<div>On the 6th of August, whilst finishing work for the night around 1am, James was set upon by a younger man with some kind of metal bar and beaten over the head and body. 
</div>

</div>
<div>His car was stolen, amongst other items like his phone, hence the lack of contact. Driving was James' only form of income, and at the end of the year he was due to finish paying the car off after almost eight years as an Uber driver.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now he has to start again. Uber is meant to help their drivers in this situation but they have remained uncommunicative while the insurance people are dragging their feet. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The police response? "You're lucky to be alive - be thankful."
</div>

</div>
<div>With mounting bills and loss of income, James had no choice but to take out a loan with high-interest rates and use all of his savings to get a new car. It's worth noting James also does private chauffeuring, so the level of the car is essential to the job. 
</div>

</div>
<div>I am trying to raise money so James can pay back that loan early and ease some of his money issues while the insurers get their act together. 
</div>

<div>You don't know James, but most of you know me, and if not for some of those conversations and moments of wisdom, I'm not sure where I'd be, so I'd love to try and raise this money for my friend.

James needs a little help

Black Unity Bike Ride (BUBR) is a series of activations that encourages holistic wellness amongst the Black community. Our flagship activation is our annual 14-mile bike ride across London. BUBR symbolises Black Unity, Black Empowerment and Black Community.<br /><br />BUBR is a charitable project led by New Initiatives Youth &amp; Community Association (Charity Number 1121523) and it is managed by a small team of passionate volunteers. Black Unity Bike Ride 2021

<br />As a resident from Vassall Road for the past 22 years and a Community Activist, I am very aware of the obstacles faced by many Black children in the area. It is what prompted me to set up a charity called BLAM UK ( Black Learning Achievement and Mental Health). We aim to create a  :<br /><br />1. A more comprehensive and diverse education;<br />2. A safe space where their mental health and general feelings can be discussed; and<br />3. A place where young people can explore their interests and passions with consistent support from their local community.<br />4. An Advocacy support group for Black parents and students <br /><br />We hope to do this by having Black history lessons throughout the year, we can enable children of African diaspora to feel appreciated, recognised and important. We use the teaching of Black history to better improve the wellbeing/ racial esteem of the children we work with. We do this alongside the running our other projects including- free Education Advocates for Black Parents in London. <p>2020 will be the year we never forget coronavirus the global pandemic. <br /><br />I have 2 family members who are nurses &amp; several friends working on the frontline in this emergency. <br /><br />I will attempt to run a marathon in my garden raising money for the below cause. fundraising for our nhs heroes facing coronavirus

For this year’s fundraising challenge TeamORIGIN has swapped the boxing  gloves from last year for two wheels this year. On Friday 31st May 2019, ORIGIN facilitators and graduates will be cycling from London to Paris. To be exact that’s 10 of us cycling 200+ miles to raise money for ORIGIN which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year!!! <br /><br />Since 1999 ORIGIN has been supporting families to raise sons via its Rites of Passage programme that focuses on nurturing the potential, talents and strengths of young men of African descent aged 13-15. <br /><br />All donations raised will go towards funding our residential trips for the young boys on this year’s programme. Having just come back from My first visit to Kenya I'm inspired to do My first ever Fund Raising Page in order to raise money for the Orphans at House Of Home Children's Home in Mombasa <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/36323042_1547830108941272_r.jpeg" alt="36323042_1547830108941272_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />House Of Hope is a incredible Home to 17 Children that are all abundant in love but sadly lacking in resources - The Children range from 3 to 17 Years Old and are in desperate need of the many pleasures that We take for granted <br /><br />There are so many heartbreaking stories including the Youngest Child Isiah whose Mother left Him on a Bus when He was 24 hours old, Sarah the youngest Girl is 4 and She has HIV and is in desperate  need of better nutrition &amp; better access to medication so that Her body can manage the Disease<br /><br />There are many Children who don't attend School because they need Sponsorship so please get in touch if You would like to Sponsor a Child and give them an amazing opportunity at a Brighter future, the money raised will also fund all the Children that aren't currently sponsored enabling them to attend School <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/36323042_1547830278869026_r.jpeg" alt="36323042_1547830278869026_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />I'll be going back out to Kenya in March to Volunteer &amp; assist with the much need repairs to the Home so please also get in touch if You would like to come over and be of service ..
