My name is Lauren Flippen. I am an aspiring independent filmmaker and the founder of Lauren Ashley Studios Inc LLC. I began writing stories at a very young age. Throughout childhood to my teenage years, I surrounded myself with many different types of attributes including writing, photography, videography, cinematography, animation, and dance. With these attributes, I developed my talents more within the start of my adult years. For some time now, I have been writing and choreographing my own short films and by the grace of God, I would love to be able to produce my first short film as a 28th birthday gift to myself in January 2027. I have had multiple attempts over the years of trying to produce my very first short film. I am definitely the definition of someone who has experienced trial and error. This was caused by my own mistakes, of course. But what amazes me is that I never stopped there. See, the beautiful thing to me, the very thing that keeps me going, is the mindset that we are so grateful to be given the opportunity to start again, and again, and again. I made sure that I took every failure and learned the lesson so that one day I would be able to conquer this task and crush it in the best way possible. I have conducted an amazing amount of research on film production, screenwriting, directing, the history of dance, musical theatre, stage movement, lighting, and set design, and I would love to finally put my creative concept on the big screen. The name of this film is called "We Could Form an Attachment." It is a short dance film on rape/sexual assault. This will be the very first short film that is a part of my mental health series. It entails the raw and vivid feelings of being sexually assaulted and having the harsh feeling of your power temporarily being taken from you. I hope to inspire many people to speak out on these matters, and with this concept, I plan to raise awareness of the fact that many people are not educated to the idea that many people have been assaulted more than once in their lifetime. I hope that even if you cannot donate to this cause, you can still watch the short film that will be premiered on my YouTube channel on Saturday, January 23rd, 2027, at 8:30 pm!
