Hi everyone — my name is Maurice, and together with my wife, we’re bringing our dream café, Enn Coffee, to life right here in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. Our Story & Inspiration It has always been my dream to open my own cafe in the city of Cincinnati. As someone who loves going to a cafe for a morning coffee and connecting with people, my wife and I have decided to create a space of our own to spread our core values in our community. That's how we decided to open Enn Coffee. “Enn” (縁) in Japanese means connection, gathering, and community. It’s a word that perfectly describes what we want this café to stand for — a space where people can slow down, connect with others, and feel at home. We’ve always believed that a café should be more than just a place to buy coffee. It should feel like a second home — a place to relax, talk about daily things, and be part of a community. To us, Enn Coffee represents life itself. People who run marathons always have water stations along the way — small places to pause, rehydrate, see loved ones, and gather the strength to keep going. We all live in a world that often feels like a marathon, and Enn Coffee wants to be that water station for people — a comforting stop where you can breathe, recharge, and feel connected again. Our Mission To create a high-quality coffee experience that blends Japanese-inspired hospitality with Cincinnati’s vibrant local culture, fostering connection and community through every cup of coffee. Our Vision Within the next five years, we aim to: * Open a second location in the OTR area * Begin roasting our own coffee beans in-house Why We’re Raising Funds The interior (still requires a bit of modification), layout, and much of the setup are already coming together. However, we’re still missing the essential core equipment — specifically, a commercial espresso machine and a professional-grade grinder — both of which are necessary to operate at the level of quality we envision for Enn Coffee. That’s why we’re asking for your help to raise $25,000.
This funding will go directly toward: * Purchasing an espresso machine and commercial grinder * Covering minor installation and setup costs * Supporting initial operational expenses as we open our doors Why Enn Coffee Matters Enn Coffee isn’t just another coffee shop.
