For the past four years, I’ve poured my heart into my 2008 Ford Crown Victoria, turning it into a true project car. Some of my favorite memories are from weekends spent tinkering under the hood, learning something new with every challenge. I still remember the first time I got it running after a tough repair—it felt like a huge victory and made me fall in love with the process all over again. Unfortunately, for the last two years, the car has been sitting in storage because I haven’t been able to afford the repairs it needs. I previously sold it and bought it back because parting with it made me realize how much I love it. Now, with storage costs piling up and my daily driver starting to have serious problems, I’m at a crossroads. I can’t keep paying for storage, but I also can’t go without a reliable car. Fixing my project car would mean so much more than just having another set of wheels. It would give me the chance to park my daily driver and finally make the repairs it desperately needs, all while reconnecting with a passion that’s been on hold for too long. I also hope to use the Crown Victoria for DoorDash deliveries, as I have in the past, which would help me earn extra income and stay on my feet. I dream of taking the car on long road trips if I can, bringing it to cruise-ins, and just enjoying the simple pleasure of driving it again. Working on this car is more than a hobby—it’s a way for me to learn, problem-solve, and grow my mechanical skills. Every bit of support will help me bring my Crown Victoria back to life and give me the opportunity to keep learning and moving forward.
