Hi, horror fans! Welcome to the GoFundMe crowdfund page for our next film, BUTTONS! First of all, I know: We need $8,000, and that sounds insane. I’m still fully aware this is what it’ll cost. I’m Ben, writer and producer for this project. Andrea D’Amario has signed on as our director, and we can’t wait to deliver another stunning horror film. The story? It’s one night in the lives of a couple in a world where everyone is forced to own a suicide button. It’s just as dark as you would imagine. BUTTONS is a very personal story to me. It’s a commentary on ethics in a world where lines get blurred. When the film comes out, you’ll see what I mean. In a quick ~10m runtime, you might be seeing it at a festival near you. You may have landed here knowing I wrote and produced TERROIR, a dark tale about wine and obsession. To see what our team is capable of, you can find our short here: terroirmovie.com It’s also possible you got here through Andrea’s work as a director. You can watch his movie, THE POEM, here: thepoemfilm.com Both of us are passionate filmmakers, and BUTTONS is an ambitious task. We’ll need to fly in talent, create custom props, make Hollywood-level gore effects, remove parts from cars to get the shots we need, and more. Please donate to make BUTTONS a reality. You’ll be credited in the final film, and we expect to do a festival tour and an online release. Not only that, but BUTTONS has feature potential. Support us here, and we just might start a franchise. We hope to open a dialogue on how scary the world can be for people, not just in our film. Thank you for your time, and just so you know, the donate button is safe to press. The one in our movie? Not so much.
