<div>Hello, my name is Sarah Lépine and I am setting up this go fund me with cousin (Johannes Verbeek), for my mother, Solange Tremblay, a flight attendant who was severely injured during her course of work.

<div>Late in the evening on March 22, 2026, Air Canada Jazz flight 8646 from Montreal to LaGuardia airport in New York collided with a fire truck on landing. The collision resulted in the fatalities of both pilots as well as several serious injuries amongst staff and passengers. My mother, Solange Tremblay, was the senior flight attendant aboard this flight. She was sitting in her jump seat in the forward cabin of the plane, directly behind the cockpit. During the crash she was when she ejected over 320 feet from the wreckage. She was found still strapped in her jump seat lying on the tarmac.

<div>My mom was conscious for all of this, and has sustained severe injuries from this event. She continues to fight and recover at a hospital in New York. My mother's injuries include two shattered legs (open fractures) requiring multiple surgeries where metal plates are needed to repair the damage done to her legs. She sustained a fractured spine where she continues to wait and see if surgery is required. Furthermore, she requires skin graphs to repair the missing flesh she lost on her legs while sliding down the tarmac. She has even received a blood transfusion due to complications from her first surgery.

<div>My mom has suffered so much from this event and regrettably her struggles are far from over. She will have to undergo several other surgeries, along with intensive rehabilitation to learn how to walk again. At the moment our greatest fear is the risk of infection which could lead to other horrifying complications if her injuries become infected.

<div>My mother dedicated her entire life as a flight attendant, and was very proud of her work. She loved serving the public and helping them travel safely from their respective destinations. Right now, my mom needs your help. She is in New York for the foreseeable future for her recovery where she remains in constant fear of sustaining further damages than she has already suffered.

La collision a entraîné le décès des deux pilotes ainsi que plusieurs blessures graves parmi le personnel et les passagers. Ma mère, Solange Tremblay, était la chef de cabine à bord de ce vol. Elle était assise sur son siège de service à l’avant de la cabine, juste derrière le cockpit. Lors de l’impact, elle a été éjectée à plus de 320 pieds de l’épave. Elle a été retrouvée toujours attachée à son siège, allongée sur le tarmac.

<div>Ma mère est restée consciente pendant tout cela et a subi de graves blessures lors de cet événement. Elle continue de se battre et de se rétablir dans un hôpital à New York. Ses blessures comprennent deux jambes brisées (fractures ouvertes) nécessitant plusieurs chirurgies, avec la pose de plaques métalliques pour réparer les dommages. Elle a également subi une fracture de la colonne vertébrale et attend de savoir si une opération sera nécessaire. De plus, elle doit recevoir des greffes de peau pour réparer les pertes de tissus subies aux jambes en glissant sur le tarmac. Elle a même reçu une transfusion sanguine en raison de complications survenues lors de sa première chirurgie.

<div>Ma mère a énormément souffert à cause de cet événement et, malheureusement, son combat est loin d’être terminé. Elle devra subir plusieurs autres interventions chirurgicales, ainsi qu’une rééducation intensive pour réapprendre à marcher. À l’heure actuelle, notre plus grande inquiétude est le risque d’infection, qui pourrait entraîner d’autres complications graves si ses blessures venaient à s’infecter.

<div>Ma mère a consacré toute sa vie à son métier d’agente de bord et en était très fière. Elle aimait servir le public et aider les gens à voyager en toute sécurité vers leur destination. Aujourd’hui, elle a besoin de votre aide. Elle se trouve à New York pour une durée indéterminée afin de poursuivre son rétablissement, où elle vit dans la crainte constante de subir d’autres complications.
