My name is Lily Turner. I am 28 years old, I live in Kokomo, IN. I have stage 4 breast cancer. I have been battling cancer since 2019. I have been stage 4 since 2023. Post stage 4 to be exact. Which means I’m never not in treatment but I am sometimes in remission. Right now is not one of those times.
Life continues whether we can keep up or not. I have been awaiting disability to decide since my interview 12/2/26. I have been unemployed due to my failing health for a year now. Even having to give up my part time remote job completely in August. I haves home with a 4 digit mortgage and can’t find anywhere cheaper for me & my daughter +
My two younger brothers, James and Nick, moved in with us as well as my mother, Ashley, to help care for me as my metastatic breast cancer.
Latest update on that is that my cancer has returned at an alarming degree, it has progressed into almost the entirety of my skeleton as found out at a PET reading 2/13/26. I am updating this as of 3/19/26
I was diagnosed with an aggressive bone cancer at 22. This was an abnormal diagnosis for someone my age so after some genetic testing I was diagnosed with Li Fraumeni Syndrome. A disorder causing a mutation of the p53 gene, that suppresses tumor growth.
I had two jaw resections due to the first one failing. Since then I have had another jaw resections, losing all of my bottom teeth. after I was diagnosed w a bone cancer resurgence in 2021.
In 2020, I was diagnosed with two separate forms of breast cancer. This required a double mastectomy, reconstruction, lymphectomy, two ports, and an eventually full hysterectomy.
All caused by LFS which there is no cure for.
It’s hard admitting when you need help and you can’t take care of yourself alone anymore but I have relentless faith and high hopes for my new Inhertu chemotherapy treatment, my renewed health, wealth, and happiness in 2026.
thank you to everyone who has made it possible for me to still be here with my family today. the funds I have raised have helped me keep my bills paid, a roof over my families heads, clothes on and food in our bodies.
Any and all donations have gone into my bank account and gone straight towards the bills monthly.
I will continue to keep fighting.
I have been busy fighting for my rights to SS Disability, snap, & health insurance I have fallen out of remission again
Now that I have health insurance I’m officially back in treatment mode. My oncologist said it’s time to fight back. Praying that money continues to come my way. I have to believe every day that things will be okay. Thank you all for making that possible for myself and my family, who I believe are all truly grateful for the ability to stay in our home together as a family through these hard times.
