Rodolfo is raising funds for his brother, <strong>Miguel Angel Parra</strong>, after a devastating incident that changed their family’s life. On Saturday, October 10, 2026, at about 7:20 a.m., while Miguel was on his way to work on Clay Rd, he was followed and chased by unmarked vehicles. According to the family, Miguel tried to run and was run over by an ICE vehicle. As a result, both of his legs were broken and he needed surgery. His family says Miguel has no criminal record and there was never a warrant for his arrest. They believe he was a victim of racial profiling.

<div><strong>On the morning of July 7, 2026, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was taken from the people who loved him most. </strong>He was 52 years old. He was a husband, a father of three sons, a small business owner, and the heart of his family. This fund exists to carry his family through the impossible days ahead, and to let them grieve without the added weight of how they will get by.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lorenzo built his life the honest way: with early mornings, long hours, and his own two hands. He ran his own construction business, building, with real work and real skill, the kind of life he wanted for his family. He was known for his work ethic, his fairness, and his willingness to help anyone who needed it. When people describe him, the first words are always the same, hardworking, dependable, kind. He was the kind of man who showed up: for his family, for his friends, for his neighbors, and on every job he ever took.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the center of his world was his wife. Lorenzo and wife met when they were just teenagers and had been together ever since, building a life, a home, and a family side by side over 35 years in the United States together. Theirs was the kind of partnership people hope for their whole lives. Now his wife faces a future she never imagined, without the person she has loved since she was young.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Above everything, Lorenzo was a devoted father to his three sons. He worked as hard as he did so that his boys could have more than he had, so that their futures could be brighter than his own beginnings. Everything he built, he built for them. Now three young men must go forward without their father, and their mother must find a way to hold their family together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds raised here will go directly to his wife and their three sons to help with funeral and burial costs, legal expenses, everyday living costs, and the wife’s needs, who has lost her lifelong companion and sole provider. No amount is too small, and every share helps this reach more people who can stand with them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can give, please give. If you cannot, please share this page and keep Lorenzo’s family in your thoughts and prayers. In a moment of unbearable loss, your kindness tells this family they are not alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please, say his name. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. And help us hold his wife and his three sons up when they cannot stand on their own.
</div>

</div>
<div>With gratitude,

In Loving Memory of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52 Years Old

LULAC Institute, Inc.

<div>Hi, my name is Wendy Carolina &amp; my mother’s name is Olga Marina Serpas she’s a pizza delivery driver for Domino’s Pizza. She’s been delivering pizzas for Domino’s in the Northline area for the past 16 years &amp; although she’s been victim of hit and runs &amp; other robberies while working, she enjoys her job &amp; has kept at it. This incident has been different.

</div>

<div>On Thursday July 21 at 7:30p she was carjacked by two young black females at The Apex apartments on 8520 Madie Street while delivering a pizza to a recipient who did not answer door or phone to get it. As she was walking back to her vehicle, these 2 black females grabbed her by the hair and then shoved her face first to the ground. She let everything go as she hit the ground &amp; the women just ran off with her keys. Police arrived on the scene fairly quickly but there was no sign of the car or the women &amp; no witnesses. We’re already working on getting camera footage from the apartment complex. Police report has been filed but we have to wait 2-3 business days to get an investigator assigned. Now without a mode of transport, my mother will be without a way to work.

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>She had just finished paying off her car 9 months ago &amp; now she’ll have to get a new car note as a replacement. Even if insurance kicks in, a big IF given that she was working while it occurred, we already have been told that the value of the vehicle is greatly reduced since she’s had 2 documented accidents on it. Taking into account her deductible, she’ll be in a bind. She’s a housekeeper in the day, in addition to being a pizza delivery driver during the night.

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>My sister and I are helping raise funds to get her a replacement vehicle paid in full and to cover the wages she’ll be losing until she can get a replacement car. She’s 63 years old and just getting a new job isn’t as easy as it is for us younger folk. Also, she worked so hard to pay her car note off that we want to do everything possible to make sure she stays without a car note. IF vehicle is found, which would be the best case scenario, money raised will be used to pay off some of her debts that push her to work so much &amp; towards her home mortgage. We’re not asking for much, share away &amp; send your prayers. Donate if your heart dictates it.  Anything helps. Share the link.
