 My name is Angela Brown and I am raising money for a trip to take my mother who is 70 to Albuquerque New Mexico for a heart surgery in the next few weeks maybe in the next month who knows but the doctor right but I'm on disability and my mother is on retirement so we don't get much we get just enough to pay rent and pay car insurance and car payment so I'm asking for help as my only brother is unavailable to help me so I'm stuck in asking to find it in your heart to donate if you can and if you can't we understand I'm asking for enough money to get a hotel and gas money to get there and back home I say thank you and my God bless your family and heart.

<div>On July 13, 2025, our beloved Xavier G. Hernandez tragically lost his life during an encounter with the El Paso Police Department when he was experiencing a mental health crisis. Xavier was begging and pleading for help. Instead of help or empathy, Xavier was met with tasers, chokeholds, the crushing weight of an officer on his back, he was put face down on burning asphalt, all while in handcuffs for approximately 10 agonizing minutes. Xavier deserved the help he needed. Xavier deserves to be alive. He was only 30 years old. His sudden passing has left his family and friends shattered, creating an unimaginable void in all of our hearts.

<div>Xavier grew up in El Paso and attended Eastwood Heights Elementary, Eastwood Middle, and Eastwood High School. He was a devoted son, caring brother, loving uncle, and cherished grandson. He was also a loyal friend to many. He was quiet, gentle, and kind, with a heart that always put others first. He loved helping people, working in insurance to assist the elderly, and even taking on a second job to support himself and his family.

<div>Xavier lived life with joy and curiosity. He had a fascination with fast cars, loved animals, especially dogs, and leaves behind his beloved chihuahua Waffles, waiting for him to come home. He was passionate about anime and Dragon Ball Z, a big soccer fan, and he loved cheering on his favorite teams. Above all, Xavier loved his family deeply. They were his world. His goofy smile, warm spirit, and infectious laughter will forever be missed.

We recently experienced a heartbreaking event as our beloved Dora Bararaza suffered a spinal stroke, altering the course of her life forever. After an intense battle that lasted 20 days in the ICU, our cherished Dora passed away. The burden of mounting bills, combined with time away from work to care for her, has placed a significant financial strain on us all. As we navigate through the profound sadness of planning her funeral, we find ourselves facing immense challenges.

<div>At around 9:30 in the evening on Monday May 6th,  the Moores were shocked to find a massive sinkhole that formed on their home property .  The hole which measures 30 ft wide and 30 feet deep immediately swallowed two of their vehicles and turned their lives upside down.

<div>The Moore couple and their two teenage daughters are expected to be displaced from their home for at least several weeks and they will have an unexpected financial burden for many months to come.  They are a hard-working, loving family who are well known for their generosity to the community. But now they are in need of the community's help.

Las Cruces Sinkhole Tragedy Fundraiser

Thank you for taking the time to read about my sweet Lily.  She is such a character and her smile lights up a room. Lily was born with a rare genetic disorder and because of this suffers from intractable epilepsy. She is 15 and has had seizures daily since she was 4. Sometimes multiple seizures a day that lands her in the hospital. The Dr.'s we have encountered up to this point have wonderful but are not specialists and have not been able to help her.  In addition, this summer alone, even with insurance, we accrued $10,000 worth of medical debt. Lily receives no assistance as I am a public school teacher and the government says I make too much for a family of 4 to provide any medical, monetary or respite care assistance. My husband does not work so he may stay home to take care of our baby girl while I work. <br /><br />NOW THE GOOD NEWS!! We have found a specialist in another state that not only understands Lily's disorder but will take her case!! October 10th Lily and I will be traveling to the epilepsy specialist for 4 days of inpatient observation and testing, including a detailed treatment plan! We have hope that Lily can be helped so she can live a happy, healthy life and the Dr is very hopeful too! Our hearts are filled with something we had almost gave up on....HOPE!!!! <br /><br />It is very difficult for me to ask, especially with this horrible pandemic that has put so many wonderful people in dire financial straights but we are financially at the end of our rope and do not know what else to do. We have already filed bankruptcy once due to medical bills which I am paying out of my check monthly and have just accrued another 10 grand in medical debt. We are hanging tough, and staying positive but in order for us to travel there and pay the hospital the deductible down payment required we will need a minimum of 1500 by October 10th.  I humbly ask if anyone reading this can help make Miss Lily's trip possible. Absolutely anything would be a blessing. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and if you cannot help financially I ask for an additional favor...... please keep Miss Lily in your heart!
