<div>Between the night of Thursday, May 29, and the early hours of May 30, our dear friend Hent Kregting, just 28 years old, was hit by a drunk and reckless driver. The impact was devastating. Since then, Hent has been in critical condition, connected to life-support machines as he fights for his life every second.

<div>Hent is a brilliant young man — a front-end developer and CRO specialist with a bright future ahead. Born in the Netherlands with Thai heritage, Hent moved to Puerto Rico 8 years ago and has worked hard to build a family, meaningful friendships, and career. His kindness, generosity, and positive spirit have touched everyone who knows him.

<div>Tussen de nacht van donderdag 29 mei en de vroege uren van 30 mei werd onze dierbare vriend Hent Kregting, pas 28 jaar oud, aangereden door een dronken en roekeloze bestuurder. De klap was verwoestend. Sindsdien verkeert Hent in kritieke toestand, aangesloten op een beademingsapparaat terwijl hij voor zijn leven vecht, elke seconde weer.

<div>Hent is een briljante jonge man — een front-end ontwikkelaar en CRO-specialist met een stralende toekomst voor zich. Geboren in Nederland met Thaise wortels, verhuisde Hent 8 jaar geleden naar Puerto Rico en heeft sindsdien keihard gewerkt aan het opbouwen van een gezin, betekenisvolle vriendschappen en zijn carrière. Zijn vriendelijkheid, vrijgevigheid en positieve geest hebben iedereen in zijn omgeving geraakt.
