Help Peter Rebuild His Life After Amputation & Recovery Hi, my name is Peter, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest but most hopeful chapters of my life. Back in April 2024, I was shot in the leg. That injury changed the course of my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Over time, pain, instability, and addiction took hold, and for years I struggled on the streets with very little support and very little hope. Recently, things took a serious turn. I developed a severe infection in my foot, and just days ago doctors told me the only way to save my life was through amputation. I lost part of my foot — but I didn’t lose my will to live. For the past two months, I’ve been in rehab, fighting every day to become the best version of myself. I am sober. I am committed to recovery. And most importantly, I am trying to build a stable, healthy life — not just for me, but for my daughter, who deserves a father she can rely on. Right now, I am starting over from almost nothing. What I need help with The funds raised will go toward: • Stable housing so I can continue my recovery safely • Transportation / a vehicle to get to medical appointments, rehab, work, and family • Medical and recovery-related expenses following the amputation • Basic necessities as I work toward employment and independence I’m not asking for a handout — I’m asking for a hand up during a moment where the right support could change the rest of my life.
