Me and my girl are currently living out of our car, and last week, the engine blew up after the transmission only had first gear in it for two weeks. Now, we have no way to get around or for me to do little side jobs to keep us afloat. So now I have no way to make money to get my engine and my transmission fixed. I'm raising money to try to see who all is able to help me and my girl get a new/used motor and transmission for cheap.

We are reaching out during one of the most difficult times in our lives. My girlfriend and I are currently experiencing homelessness for the first time, right in the middle of a freezing Anchorage winter. For the past three weeks, we have been sleeping outside because every shelter we try is already full. The cold, exhaustion, and lack of basic hygiene have made this situation incredibly overwhelming. I am raising funds for both of us. She is my partner and support system, and I am doing everything I can to protect her. There is also a possibility that she may be pregnant, which makes our situation even more urgent. We need a safe, stable place to stay as soon as possible. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase a reliable used vehicle. This would give us a warm, enclosed space to sleep and a way to get to jobs, appointments, and resources so we can begin rebuilding our lives. How the funds will be used: - $4,000–$7,000: Purchase of a reliable used vehicle that will serve as our shelter and transportation - $500–$1,500: Registration, insurance, and basic repairs to make the vehicle safe and usable - $300–$800: Emergency needs such as warm clothing, blankets, hygiene supplies, and food - $200–$1,000: Medical care and check-ups, especially if the pregnancy is confirmed All donations will be received and managed directly by me through a secure platform, and every dollar will go toward these essential needs. Once we have a vehicle, it will serve as our shelter and a crucial step toward finding work and eventually securing permanent housing. We never imagined we would be in this position, and asking for help is not easy. But right now, we truly need it.
