***Message below in English*** Caro donatore, cara donatrice di Elias, abbiamo appena completato un altro percorso di neuroriabilitazione intensiva di due settimane e volevamo condividere con voi questo importante passo. Siamo profondamente grati per il vostro sostegno. La vostra generosità permette ad Elias di accedere a terapie e opportunità che possono fare davvero la differenza nel suo percorso. Uno degli obiettivi che ci eravamo prefissati da tempo era insegnare ad Elias a masticare e a deglutire correttamente i cibi solidi. La logopedista ha lavorato tantissimo con lui e oggi possiamo dire di aver fatto un importante passo avanti verso questa abilità. Per la prima volta Elias ha anche sperimentato la musicoterapia, che per lui si è rivelata molto importante, soprattutto per aumentare il livello di attenzione e di partecipazione. In queste due settimane ha fatto tantissima fisioterapia, continuando a lavorare sulle sue abilità motorie e preparando il terreno per i prossimi obiettivi. Ma forse la decisione più importante che abbiamo preso durante questo intensivo è stata quella di acquistare per Elias dei plantari speciali, molto costosi, ma fondamentali per iniziare un percorso che per noi significa tantissimo: lavorare verso la messa in piedi. Tutto questo è stato possibile grazie a voi. Grazie alle persone generose e splendide che hanno scelto di sostenere Elias. Molte di voi non le conosciamo nemmeno personalmente, eppure avete deciso di credere nella sua storia e di accompagnarci in questo viaggio. È qualcosa di meraviglioso e, per noi, è la testimonianza concreta di quanto amore possa nascere nei cuori delle persone, anche tra perfetti sconosciuti. La malattia di Elias ha cambiato profondamente le nostre vite. Ma l'amore che ci avete dimostrato, senza chiedere nulla in cambio, ci ha aiutato tantissimo e continua a darci la forza per andare avanti. Abbiamo grandi progetti per Elias nei prossimi mesi e saremo felicissimi di continuare a condividere con voi ogni suo passo, ogni conquista e ogni nuova sfida. We are deeply grateful for your support. Your generosity is helping Elias access therapies and opportunities that can make a real difference in his journey. One of the goals we had set for Elias some time ago was to teach him how to chew and safely swallow solid foods. His speech and feeding therapist worked incredibly hard with him, and today we can say that we have made an important step forward towards achieving this skill. For the first time, Elias also experienced music therapy. It proved to be very important for him, particularly in helping him increase his level of attention and engagement. During these two weeks, Elias also had a great deal of physiotherapy, continuing to work on his motor skills and preparing for his next goals. But perhaps the most important decision we made during this intensive was to purchase specialised orthotic braces for Elias. They are extremely expensive, but they are an important first step towards something that means so much to us: working towards helping Elias stand. None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you to all the generous and wonderful people who have chosen to support Elias. Many of you we have never even met, yet you decided to believe in his story and become part of our journey. It is something truly incredible and, to us, it is proof of how much love can exist in people's hearts, even between complete strangers. Elias’ condition has changed our lives profoundly. But the love you have shown us, asking for nothing in return, has helped us enormously and continues to give us the strength to keep going. We have big plans for Elias over the coming months, and we will be incredibly happy to continue sharing every step, every achievement and every new challenge with you.
