Sounds pretty selfish right? Asking for help to get donations to help afford breast augmentation?
Well let me tell you my Story. My Name is Charlene Konrad, and growing up Ive always known I could hardly wait to be a grown up to inherit breasts. But as I got older nothing seemed to change. I hit puberty but didnt grow too much on top. Years went by and I realized this was it for me. Already struggling with Acne since being a preteen into my twenties I knew my breasts were going to stay small. I had low confidence and low self esteem. You could even say I didnt hold too much self worth. Now knowing I would have to afford this myself if I wanted it, I started throwing the idea around to my family and close friends to see their reaction. None of them seemed surprised that I was really bothered by my own appearance. But I was told "they will grow when you have kids trust me" being in my twenties and married I've always known I wanted a family, but how soon would that happen? Finally I have the family I always wanted, but my breasts are not only small, they seem even smaller and deflated. It's almost impossible shopping for bras or cute shirts. I hate everything. It's dawned on me that I'm experiencing body dismorphia. Yes I'm female and I was born this way, but Im not comfortable in my own body. It's a burden I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Now in my thirties, I should be "thirty, flirty, and thriving!" Maybe if you're a flat chested girlie like me, you can relate on some level, maybe you have learned to embrace yours? I've wished the worst for myself in the past. I wished for breast cancer to hopefully beat it, then after having them removed and get an augmentation that way. My mom had breast cancer. That was scary. Maybe I dont wish it anymore. Maybe sometimes a small part of me still does. Then I wouldnt have to live with "mom guilt" for spending so much on myself.
Maybe for a mans perspective it would be like never being able to grow facial hair, nothing more than a soft peach fuzz and everyone around him having stylish beards, handlebar mustaches, or however they choose to shave/grow. Or atleast thats what I would imagine it feels like.
Being a busy mom working a full-time job in today's economy its been a slow build. But with the help of friends, family, and to all who have donated I couldnt of got to this point without you. Its motivating me more so now! I started at zero, and collectively everyone so far has got me to $3275.00!! As I approach my goal, I will have a better idea of my final costs. Shutting this gofundme down. I appreciate each and everyone of you, and If by some chance your unable to donate. I humbly ask if you could share this post as well. The more reach, the better my odds of finally completing my goal. Anything helps, and thanks to all who contributed, are able too, and all who share. It means alot to me!
