My name is Sigrid, and I am a single mother doing my best to care for my two disabled children. On Christmas Day, I experienced the unimaginable loss of my daughter Kaitlyn, who was just 23 years old. Kaitlyn was a sweet and beautiful soul who loved listening to music, and her presence brought warmth and light to our family, even through the challenges she faced. Her passing has left a deep emptiness in our lives, and every day is a struggle to find the strength to keep going, especially for my son, who is also disabled and needs me now more than ever. After Kaitlyn passed, I used all of my savings to cover her funeral expenses. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to give her the farewell she truly deserved, and I am still struggling to afford a proper headstone for her. The costs have been overwhelming, and I never realized how expensive it would be to honor her memory in the way she deserves. This has added to the heartbreak and stress my family is experiencing during an already difficult time.
