My Fight for Life: End-Stage Renal Disease ​This is the reality. My name is Lugo Alexander Julio Cesar. I am not in Italy on vacation; I am a Venezuelan immigrant fighting for my life. ​I suffer from Stage V Chronic Kidney Disease. As you can see, my health prevents me from working; my days and my strength are exhausted in dialysis sessions three times a week. This treatment is life-saving: without it, my life is at immediate risk. In my home country, Venezuela, access to this care and my essential medication is impossible due to the humanitarian crisis. ​Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward my stability and survival.
