<div>On the 26th of April I will be running the London Marathon, please try and help me raise a heap of money for a wonderful charity - Bebe’s Hive . Bebe’s Hive has been set up in memory of 6 year old Bebe King, I’m sure many of you have heard of her name - if not please Google her. Her wonderful family have created ‘Bebe’s Hive’ to support children with their grief after losing a loved one. They will use money fundraised, to train individuals, to support children experiencing grief with play- based therapy. I have seen first hand through my job, what grief can do to a child, that in itself is heartbreaking - please help them to receive the best support possible!

<div>The last 4 months have had its fair few hiccups with injuries, surgery, recovery etc but here I am 4 weeks out determined to get to that start line!! There has been a tear or two shed on this journey and I’ve got no doubt there will be many more over the coming weeks.

<div><strong>Ollie’s Story</strong>

<div>My baby boy, Ollie, is just 13 months old. At only two weeks old, he was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare and complex heart condition: pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aortopulmonary collateral arteries (PA-VSD MAPCAs).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since then, Ollie has spent much of his first year in and out of hospital. But despite everything he’s been through, he is the happiest, cheekiest little boy. He loves bubbles, ducks, and making everyone around him laugh.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ollie is my only child. He is my whole world.
</div>
<div>And he deserves the chance to grow up, to go to school, make friends, and live the full life every child should have.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why Stanford?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ollie’s condition is life-limiting without surgery. So far, three major hospitals in the UK and more across Europe have told us the same devastating thing:

<div>“We can’t operate.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The only option offered here is palliative care, to make him comfortable, but not to save him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As his mum, I can’t and won’t accept that as his only future.
</div>

</div>
<div>That’s when we found Stanford Children’s Hospital in California. The world’s leading centres for Ollie’s exact condition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Stanford have reviewed Ollie’s case and offered us hope: they believe he is operable, and have accepted him for life-saving surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Plan: Two Stages to Save His Life</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Stanford will begin with a pulmonary artery reconstruction, which is the most urgent step. Right now, Ollie’s lung arteries are underdeveloped, making a full repair impossible. This surgery will improve blood flow to the lungs, helping his arteries grow strong enough over the next 6–9 months.
</div>

</div>
<div>Once that happens, Ollie will be ready for stage two: the full repair.
</div>
<div>We’re hopeful this second stage can be done back here in the UK.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But it all depends on getting him to America first.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This first stage of surgery can’t be done in the UK, as the NHS simply doesn’t have the expertise required.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The confirmed cost of treatment, recovery, and aftercare at Stanford is £1.5 million.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s an unimaginable figure for any parent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We can’t do this alone, but with your help, we just might be able to.

Help Save Baby Ollie's Heart

<div>Hi, I’m Jessica’s mum. On New Year’s Day, our beautiful Jess suffered a bleed on the brain causing her to have a stroke. Prior to this, she had been fit and healthy and we had no clue this would happen. Twice, we were told that she may not wake up, luckily, she did and 56 days later, she is still in Queen’s medical centre and is making good progress. Despite this, when she is discharged, she will need intensive physiotherapy and adaptions making around our home to enable her to move around safely. Due to waiting lists, Jess will not be able to access community physiotherapy straight away. Jess may have the opportunity to go to a specialist children’s rehab centre in Surrey. This will mean us taking time off work and incurring unexpected travel costs and other costs involved with staying away from home for any length of time. All money raised will help Jess continue her recovery and allow us to support her on her journey.

<div>at the age of 35 i was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even after 5 rounds of chemo &amp; 15 rounds of radiotheropy , unfortunately it had spread into my right hip, 1 rib &amp; both lungs.
</div>
<div>I was devastated &amp; unsure of what future I had left with my 5 &amp; 2 year old children.
</div>
<div>For the past 4 years I have kept my cancer stable with the help of my amazing Onocolgist, with chemo tablets &amp; hormone injections, But now I have been told it has spread into my left hip &amp; spine also, the modules in my lungs have grown.
</div>
<div>As you can imagine, the pain is terrible &amp; kept me almost house bound for over 6 months.
</div>
<div>In the past month I have had several radiotheropy sessions &amp; slowly getting a bit more mobile.
</div>

<div>so I thought I would attempt to raise money to give my children some great memories, while i still can.
