<div>So I want to make the first portion of this as concise as possible because I know time is a high currency. As some of you know, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis that runs in my family, which affects me in various ways. Mostly my joints, mobility, and energy levels. Stress is usually a factor to my flare-ups and in recent times I've had my fair share which I outline in-depth below if you care to read it. I've been fortunate enough to be able to give back to people with community support, comedy, and helping to raise money for our local communities through charity fundraising. Now I call on the tremendous support and power of community.

<div>Starting in 2021 I started paying off medical debt from my sleep apnea device to help with poor sleep. I thought it was a symptom of TMJ, and now realizing after some doctor's visits, that it might actually be another symptom of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). I had paid 6K/8K of medical debt. Then I got hit with 5K in self-employment tax from freelancing/1099 work even with write-offs.

<div>Between 2021-2022, I overworked to make ends meet which further taxed my body leading to this flare-up that now makes it difficult for me to continue working for this month and possibly even in May. My silly hubris and honestly probably survival kicked in as I tried to manage everything that was happening. I thought I could manage it all with working out, freelancing multiple jobs, sleep being all over the place even if it 8 hours, getting COVID, losing a family friend to suicide, dealing with my dad being sick — all leading up to stress that I thought I was doing well at managing well with self-care and therapy.

<div>Ultimately it came to ahead I realized my health started taking a considerable decline. I started losing my appetite and finding it even more difficult to get a good night's rest even with 8 to 10 hours. I'd always wake up tired. Rinse, repeat, continue to work and push my limits. This is why my self-care Sundays were so very important to me as it was my main day for resetting in a way.

<div>With that said, I am on track to putting my health in a better spot, so I can continue doing what I love to the best of my ability: helping people, making people laugh, and creating. <div>Unemloyment payments are unable to fully cover current expenses and medical debt that totals over $20,000. I have medical insurance I am paying for so it would be mostly going towards that, trips to and from doctors, anything that doesn't get covered with insurance including co-pays, prescriptions, some x-rays, some dental work, some vision expenses and physical therapy.

<div>For those unaware, Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune illness in which your body attacks itself and causes several complications if not properly treated. I've been diagnosed since 2011 and due to lifestyle choices, I had very few flare-ups of which I am grateful for. However, with stress it can be more of a glaring issue. I think all things considered of what I've been through this year with being unable to find steady work with the strikes and mass layoffs, it was inevitable that a flare-up did occur. I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read this even if you cannot offer financial support. Much love to all of you and I hope to continue to provide that Vitamin D.
