It means being clean. It means being seen. It means a shot at starting over—if only for a day. As spring begins, InExcelsis is launching our April Showers campaign to expand something simple and powerful: access to a hot shower and clean clothes. A woman stepped into one of our mobile showers for the first time after months of living outside. When she finished, she stood there holding a towel and said quietly: "I feel like a human being again." What We're Seeing Every week, we meet people who haven't had a real shower in weeks. Last year, our mobile unit provided 542 showers. What we saw just as clearly: a shower only goes so far if someone has to put the same clothes back on. So we added something new.
