My name is Shawn, and I'm almost 47 years old. I live in Akron, Ohio, but I'm originally from Northern California. I made the move to Ohio to get off drugs, and thanks to a friend's recommendation, I found a recovery facility that changed my life. Today, I am proud to say I have been sober for over three years—something I never thought possible. It's been four years since I've seen my three sons and my grandson, and the distance has been tough. One of my sons is getting married soon, and I promised him I would do everything I could to be there. I've managed to save enough for my flight, but I need a little help with lodging, food, and other expenses to make the trip possible.
