<div>We are all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Darryl Brooks. As we all know Darryl was a very helpful and unfortunately he lost his life doing what he loved. During his regular night shift, he was working in the tow truck driver when he decided to stop and help someone on the turnpike and was tragically hit by a drunk driver. Darryl was a son, brother, uncle, best friend and many more to many people. The most joyful person  to be around. He had so much more life left. He died at 22, leaving so much potential and loved ones behind. We created this GoFund to ask for your support so that his services and loved ones, especially his mom, are taken care of during his difficult time.

<span style="font-size:16px;">Hi everyone! My name is Hope and my husband is Brandon. We have been together for 10 years. We have a 4 year old son together who is the sweetest boy ever so loving. We were so happy when not too long ago we found out we were going to have another boy. I couldn't wait and made his room and had clothes ready. My whole pregnancy was healthy and great. I should say my first son was born in a hospital and I had the worst experience possible and it scared me but I still wanted to expand our family so now when I went into labor, long story short, my uterus ruptured and by the time we got to the hospital, our baby did not make it and I almost died. I woke up in ICU with no baby, blood transfusions and an emergency hysterectomy. What happened to me was about a 7% of happening to someone. </span><span style="font-size:16px;letter-spacing:0.0085px;">Everything came crashing down. Our family has been heartbroken but know we want to have more children. We always wanted to adopt after having biological children but sometimes life makes choices for you so here we are healing as a family and ready for another chapter/journey of our lives. Please help make this possible as adoption is super expensive. Thank you for taking time to read this. :)</span>

<div>Hi, we’re Scott and Christin. If you’re reading this, you’re already part of our village.

<div>We went back and forth for a long time before sharing this. We’re private people, and asking for help doesn’t come easily. But after four years, five embryo transfers, two losses, one surgery, and more heartbreak than we ever imagined, we’ve learned something important. Sometimes love means letting people in.
</div>

<div>So here we are.

<div>Where it started
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2021, we began what we thought would be a simple journey to have a baby together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Scott already loves my two boys as his own. He is their dad in every way that matters. But he’s always carried a quiet dream to hold his child from the very first moment, to hear that first cry, to watch a little one grow carrying his name forward.
</div>

</div>
<div>I want to give him that more than anything.
</div>

</div>
<div>We started with surgery to reverse a tubal ligation. It worked medically, and we were hopeful. But month after month, nothing happened. We tried medications. Then three rounds of IUI. Each time we waited, hoped, and prayed. Each time it was negative.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Later we learned one of my tubes was blocked, but we kept going anyway.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By 2023, after trying everything we could, we made the emotional and financial leap to IVF.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What IVF really looks like
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>People hear IVF and think it’s simple. It isn’t.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It looks like injections early in the morning before work. Rearranging your entire life for appointments. Driving hours because no local provider will help. Spending hours on the phone trying to coordinate medications, paying over a thousand dollars out of pocket for just a few days’ supply.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At one point, we flew to Barbados because treatment there was half the cost. We stayed for two weeks, preparing our bodies and our hearts. We transferred our only two viable embryos.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Then we flew home and waited.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That transfer failed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We sat together and I cried until I couldn’t anymore.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We didn’t stop
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In October 2024, we started over with a clinic in Sarasota. Multiple trips every week. More costs. More delays. Another failed transfer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Then something we had been waiting years for finally happened. A positive test.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For two weeks, we were going to be parents.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We told everyone. We felt so much joy and happiness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Then we lost it. A chemical pregnancy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We kept going. Another attempt had to be canceled due to complications. More testing revealed a septate uterus, something that may have been causing our losses all along.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In January 2026, I had surgery to correct it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We healed. We hoped again. We tried again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>April 20, 2026. Transfer number five.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It failed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Where we are now
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Five transfers. Two miscarriages. Tens of thousands of dollars. Savings gone. Loans taken. More tears than we can count.

<div>And still, we have four embryos waiting.

<div>Four chances. Four reasons we haven’t given up.

<div>We truly believe one of them is our baby. The one Scott will carry into our home for the first time. The one our boys will argue over holding. The one who will complete something in our family that we can all feel is missing.

<div>But continuing comes with a cost we can’t carry alone anymore.
