We all know life is very uncertain and unfair to many of us. Sometimes, unexpected and sudden things happen in our life and we have no choice other than accepting reality. Many of us have some sort of story to share and here we have the heartbroken story of our best friend, Sandesh Shrestha. Life was going very smoothly for him until he had to face the most unbelievable reality of life. It was the day when he got diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer. It was like a nightmare for him, his family members and everyone who knows him and at the same time it was very hard to believe when Sandesh, one of the most active, fittest and healthiest friends we know was diagnosed with such a deadly and rare kind of cancer (for his age).

As many of us know, Sandesh has been under treatment for the last 4 months and according to the doctor, he will be under treatment for a very long time. It all started with an abdominal pain. After a few weeks of stomach pain, Sandesh started seeing a doctor and what they suspected was an acid reflux. As days passed by, Sandesh started feeling it was not a normal kind of pain and then he went through several tests/scans. Nothing was detected from the ultrasound and so the doctor suggested doing an MRI. From the MRI report, they found swelling in the liver and a kind of blockage in the bile duct. To gather more details, he went through a CT scan where there was a suspicious finding for metastatic disease. Because of suspicious findings, endoscopy was performed to collect tissue samples (biopsy) to test for the disease and according to the report, malignant appearing gastric mass was found and Sandesh was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer.

Talking about Sandesh, he is truly an amazing human being. If you’ve had an opportunity to meet and spend any amount of time with Sandesh, you already know that he is the most helpful, humble and down-to-earth guy. He completed his masters degree not too long ago and was actively looking for a full-time job and at the same time, the world just turned upside down for him. When it comes to health and fitness, he is a motivation and role model for many. His dedication and hard work towards health and fitness has inspired a lot of people. He is one of the friends in our circle whose fitness and nutrition tips have changed the lifestyle of many people. Despite of maintaining a very healthy lifestyle for a long time and being so health conscious, he has been going through all this. Life has been so unfair to him.

Sandesh is a fighter and he has been mentally prepared to fight against this disease. Many of his friends, family and well wishers are willing to help him at this pathetic moment and here we have started this campaign for him. We do believe that our love and support will help Sandesh in his journey of battling cancer. Let’s motivate him to fight against this deadly disease and let him know he is not alone in this battle by supporting him financially and emotionally. Every small help counts.

We truly appreciate your help and thank you everyone for your love, support and prayers
