My fiancé and I are excited to begin our life together, but the process of planning a wedding has been stressful and overwhelming. I’ve never been married before, and finding a job has been extremely difficult, which has made things even harder. We want to celebrate our marriage with a small wedding surrounded by loved ones, but we’re worried about the financial burden and don’t want to feel like a burden to our family, even though they’re willing to help. At times, I’ve felt embarrassed to ask for help, but I know that sharing our story is important.
We’re a couple in our 20s, taking care of my fiancé’s elderly grandfather and doing our best to survive in this economy. We believe in giving, but also in asking for help when needed. Any funds raised will go directly toward wedding expenses like the venue, food, flowers, invitations, decorations, dresses, and tux. Our hope is to have a simple, meaningful wedding without taking on debt, and to start our marriage surrounded by the people who matter most to us.
We are so grateful for anyone who takes the time to read our story, share words of encouragement, or donate. I know God has a plan for us and our relationship, and I have faith that everything will work out. Thank you for helping us take this next step together.
