My name is louann, and I’m reaching out for help for my family—my mom and my little brothers. Life has been incredibly hard for us lately. My mom owned her house, but she couldn’t afford to pay for it alone anymore. My sister, who lived with us and helped with the rent, decided to leave without warning. She moved in with someone else and stopped helping, leaving us unable to pay the bills. Suddenly, we found ourselves out on the street, with nowhere to go and no plan for what would come next. I’m only 20, and I wish I could do more for my family, but right now, I’m struggling just to keep myself afloat. My mom has always been so strong, but she’s been through so much. Not long ago, on her birthday, she was diagnosed with cancer in her kidney, throat, and lungs, and she’s also having problems with her back. When the doctors told us there was only a 50/50 chance she would make it, it broke our hearts. She was supposed to have surgery, but the risks were too high, and she couldn’t go through with it. Every day, I worry about what will happen to her and my little brothers. All I want is to make sure they have a safe place to live and enough to eat, and that my mom is taken care of as she fights this terrible illness. We’re doing our best, but it’s really hard right now. Anything you can give will help us get through this. Please help us find hope and stability again.
