 Recently, just before taking the stage in San Francisco, John experienced a critical medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital. That evening's concert was canceled, and John is now receiving the care he needs, surrounded by the love of his family and the prayers of countless friends and fans.

 His wife, Kathy Merrick, a member of the legendary group Honey Cone, has remained by his side, along with their daughter, Kyla. With their home in the Los Angeles area, this unexpected medical crisis has brought not only emotional heartbreak, but also the growing burden of travel, lodging, meals, countless unexpected expenses, and the unforeseen challenges that lie ahead.

 So Kathy can remain where she needs to be—by John's side—Shelly Clark White, founding member of Honey Cone, has canceled the group's remaining performances for at least the next couple of months.

Standing With John Paris: The Road to Recovery

<div>What should have been a happy day for Ty-Ty will now be a shared day of sorrow. On 3/10/24, two years ago to this day, I sat in the labor &amp; delivery room with my nervous son-in-law waiting for my grandson to be born. Then the doctor announced that the baby would need to be delivered via emergency C-section, but only one of us could go into the operating room. Tuala tried to give up the spot to me, and I told him, “No! This is a once in a lifetime moment when you get to witness your baby coming into the world, so you need to be in there! You go welcome your firstborn into the world! I will be out here waiting for you all! You go!!” He nervously suited up in his white jumpsuit and went to watch &amp; witness as his whole entire life changed before his eyes (for the better). As I anxiously waited back in the room. I heard the wheels of the baby gurney rolling towards me. Tuala came out first, then the baby, my heart was so elated with so much love &amp; joy I could burst! My grandson was finally here! Once again, I insisted he be the first to do everything because he was now officially a dad. He got to be the first to hold his newborn son for the first time and wept with tears of happiness as he told me he waited over 40 years to finally get his baby and become a dad. He was so overwhelmed with love from that day on, and Ty-Ty was his pride &amp; joy. He was a very loving &amp; good dad, always waking up at 3 a.m. to go to work &amp; provide for his son. He would do anything for his boy.

</div>
<div>Fast forward to the present day, two years later, and the day before Tytus’s second birthday, Tuala had to say goodbye to his very own father for the last time as they laid him to rest. My son-in-law was now so overwhelmed with grief and so much sorrow to the point it was unbearable. He was so devastated as he, himself, was the youngest boy of five brothers, and he had already buried three brothers before him. Grief-stricken with so much pain over the loss of not only his three brothers but also his own father, it was a lot on his heart. His heart was completely broken. That night after the services, Tuala went to sleep and never woke up. The next day he was found unresponsive, and all attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. My grandson lost his father on the day of his second birthday and his grandfather a few weeks before. I pray for my son-in-law, Tuala (Jason), that he has reunited with his father in heaven and that they are together. Tuala, you were a sweet, shy young man that was always very humble, polite &amp; respectful. I will always be thankful to you and your family for loving my daughter the way you did and most of all for blessing me with my lil’ Bully. We will all miss you dearly but know you will always be looking out for Tytus &amp; Binky from up above. Our hearts are completely broken knowing you are no longer here on earth. You are now in heaven, but you will be deeply missed and forever cherished, and I will make sure to tell your son the story of his birth every chance I get so he will always remember how much his father loved him! We love you and may you rest in eternal love &amp; peace. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Please pray for my Binky Boo, his entire family &amp; my grandson Tytus, that God helps them through this.

<div>I am always here for you, my babygirl! I love you all so much! My heart is so broken right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It hurts to think my baby grandson will grow up without his Father now.
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>We are raising a small college fund for Ty-Ty to help him in his future and humbly ask for help for my grandson to let him know he has more than just a village behind him, he has the love of everyone!</strong> Pls also say a Special prayer for Ty-Ty’s Nana Salilo-this woman is a true testament of strength &amp; faith. This is her 4th son (her baby boy) she had to bury along with her husband. How she remains so strong is beyond me. She is a good woman, Mother &amp; Grandmother. I ask God to pls bless her broken heart. My heart &amp; love is with her as well.
</div>
<div>Truly, anything is appreciated! My grandson is the great-grandson &amp; grandson of two well-respected &amp; honorable Faifeaus (Pastors) that would want the best for him as well as Tuala. Please, help him if you can. We are humbly, eternally grateful for your help, love &amp; support.

</div>
<div>We understand if some of you cannot donate however, if you can kindly share this post to your wall will help Ty-ty in more ways than you will ever know!
</div>
<div>Thank you…so much for all your love &amp; support for my Grandson! God bless you!
